You turn on ESPN (any of the versions) and there is no news on the Jets. Nothing on the crawl, no updates from the "experts" just plain NOTHING! No interest - nothing happening...unless you get a negative like Kendall last year or Coles this year. All of the cuts and the Jets don't cut anyone, sign anyone - seem to be on the verge of a trade, etc. They are just boring - as well as bad. Look, if your team isn't good - and makes moves - at least they are interesting. But Mangini and Company is just plain boring. Boring and winning is fine - boring and losing doesn't cut it.
Chill yourself - John Clayton reports that......Adam Schefter reports that......no rumors or anything positive about the Jets - no new contracts, extensions, cuts, etc. You head about other teams - but no Jets news... Boring and losing sucks!
Sounds to me like the CS has their cards real close to their chests...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Not only do we lose all the time but when we do play good we get no credit its almost as if we dont exist.
This whole respect thing is complete bullshit.. when we start playing well and winning games on a consistent basis we will get covered by the major channels like espn. Until the day when we start winning games and having a string of successful seasons we can't expect to get coverage like teams that do.
Yeah, because exciting and losing is SOOOOOOOO much better than boring and losing. Please. Losing doesn't "cut it" no matter how it's done.
This franchise is a joke. When the team starts winning games, signing marquee players instead of sitting on their hands letting stars go to division rivals through free agency, then you will see the Jets on national TV.
The Jets now got their CS together and Tanny and the CS probably talk about possible Cuts, Trades, FA-Signings and Draftpicks, now. There?s no need to rush any moves. And rumours about which players you try to sign throu FA can cost you millions.
The Jets were mentioned on NFL network last night. Peyton Manning was talking about how he studied the Jets defensive formation that moves all over the place and how the Patriots tore it apart so that he could be better prepared for the Ravens. Yeah, the offseason sucks.
It's frustrating to be a Jets fan because we have so many fans who complain when we haven't made a move before FA or anything has really started.
What's frustrating is seeing high-profile FA's take pennies on the dollar to go play for teams like the Patriots while teams like the Bengals and Jets have to offer up a huge premium to get anyone decent signed. Just look at what happened with Antoine Winfield. Face it folks, the Jets are not a team that guys are climbing over each other to go play for.
Good post. For some reason I think it will have to be changed to 41 years and counting a year from now.
There's only 6-1/2 months until the first game, they better get cracking. Seriously, there's not much news about any team right now, it's February. If making news in February had anything to do with winning I'd be worried.
True...Mangini and Tanny have spent alot of time being quite over those 40 years. They need to start doing something.
JESUS, SPOT-ON ARTICLE! SO DAMN BORING! CAN'T THEY LIGHT A CAR ON FIRE OR COME TO THE COMBINE WITH A GUN? WHAT'S WITH THIS OFF-SEASON BULLSHIT?! WHOSE IN FAVOR OF THE 52 WEEK SEASON? ANYONE? Anyone?
