The Browns start rookie training camp today and the Cowboys start regular camp I believe tomorrow. Why are waiting 9 additional days to start camp? What is the advantage? Wouldn't you want as an organization to have as long of a time to prepare for opening day as possible?
Burnout? Less rest days? More time with family before going to Cortland? Is there not a maximum number of practices in total anyway?
The deal is, because we have the last preseason game of the first week we have to start camp later. There's some rule that states you can only have X days of camp before your first preseason game.
My guess is the Browns & the Boys play the HOF xhibition game which is normally played the week before all the other teams play there 1st xhibition game
You got it. I think its 9 days before your first preseason game. Teams are only allowed to have X days of practices.
