Rex Ryan personally ran Gilbert's pro day...The only thing I can come up with is that they were not impressed one bit with what they saw. Obviously, they knew Gilbert was on the board, but with Rex running the pro day in person, he must have seen some red flags. I fully trust our head coach in knowing what type of personnel he needs, and obviously this guy didn't fit.
Greene was the highest rated player on their board, Rex said it wasn't even close. There is your answer.
maybe because he is not as good as everyone thinks he is. thats why he was passed over by a bunch of teams before he got drafted. everyone has to stop bitching about not taking this guy. i am pretty sure the coaches know just a little bit more about players then we do
Why didnt a lot of other teams take him, he obviously was not impressive.. theres always these guys that fall and people wonder why, they almost never pan out
I wasn't really bitching it's just Gilbert was a guy some of us wanted in the first that we could have gotten in the third. This is a good draft so far I just wish we had some more picks
Gilbert may be a fan favorite here, but he's inconsistent in his play and was overrated by all of us.
