They aren't number one because Oregon State lost and it hurt them.

Nevada losing to Hawaii also hurts them in the long run.

*Also, three mid-majors in the top ten is awesome.

Boise shouldn't be #1, but Oregon should.

BCS is terrible. It's a shame a lame system like this is still around. Oklahoma is consensus 3+ and they're #1 in this joke.

    Money talks....

I refuse to take college football seriously until they finally put a legitimate playoff system in place.

Don't get me wrong I will root and support Penn State but when a single loss ends your season 95% of the time, what's the point? On the flipside, when teams can go undefeated and not get a chance at the title...what's the point?

Explain Missou to me, I'm confused as to why they are higher with the computers though it won't matter since either them or OU loses next week.

I'm probably the only person in america who likes the bcs...

Oregon has beat 1 ranked team. Oklahoma has beat 3, if you include Air Force. Not as big of a stretch as some are making it out to be.

It probably has a lot to do with them being undefeated, since most of the top schools are all still undefeated

Look at their schedule. They're undefeated, but they don't have any "big" wins.

We'll see if they're for real next weekend when they play Oklahoma.

FBS CFB is the only major sport in America that doesn't have a playoff system. Senseless.

So...Oregon will be # 1. Does Auburn jump Boise State as they beat #6 LSU? My guess is yes.

Yes Auburn is going to jump over both TCU and Boise. It's already begining with the there is no way Boise can play for a national title. Why Not? It's because all these idiots are afraid that there is a possibilty they win. Then they'll look like jackasses especially Mark May who IMO is the worst college football analyst on the planet.

Here is my major gripe with the entire system, In week one of 2009 Boise demolished Oregon. Shut them down completely and Boise hasn't lost a game since then yet Oregon has lost 2 and somehow in all of these people's opinion the Ducks are better then Boise? Based on what?

I just keep hoping that at the end of the year my dream scenario works out.

Yes they will, and they absolutely should. Over their past five weeks Auburn has beaten three teams ranked in the top 12, two of which were undefeated at the time. Boise State has played teams that are 1-6, 2-6. 1-7, along with the dominant forces of nature that are Oregon State (3-3) and Toledo (5-3).

The reason that very good teams from the big conferences lose games is because they have to play talented teams every single week. Boise doesn't do that, and with their quality of talent and exceptional staff they can gameplan to beat the big teams when they come around.

Is it their fault that they're in the WAC? For now maybe not, but they also didn't jump at the chance to move into the Pac Ten during their expansion talks, while Utah did.

To note, this isn't an anti-playoff and pro-BCS statement, merely a comment that, the way things are presently organized, Auburn should be ahead of Boise.

Totally agree, and I believe week in and out the SEC is the toughest conference to play in. So much talent on so many teams. Just saw on ESPN that they are predicting Auburn to be ranked #1 in the BCS.

I love what Boise state has done with their program over the past ten years and TCU seems to be following suit. Ultimately, I dont see them playing one another for the championship as their strength of schedule will kill them in the end.
