Germaine Race has alot of tread on his tires, still put unbelieveable numbers, in Div 2. Highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7WVa-KHuyM
Other than unbelievable numbers, which are completely unbelievable, what do you like about him? He sounds good to me, but what kind of back is he?
I like his size 5' 11" 220lbs. He's a quick cut back runner, not a burner, but has great vision. Some forecasts are predicting him in late Rd 3 or Rd 4. He has over 6000 rushing yards, that's alot of pounding and lower level of competition will be question marks. High Risk/High reward player.
I think he'll probably go in the 5th round based solely on the level of competition he played. And I'd love to get him there.
he isn't the best D-II RB in the Nation though..... you wanna know who is..... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=151208 Its this guy right here^^^
The shame about Germaine Race, as with almost all small school players, no invite to the combine. Another weakness, he's not a receiving back and has rarely caught the ball out the backfield. The just gave Race the ball and no one could stop him.
Plus isn't Massachusetts DI-AA? I know Marcel Shipp was undrafted, went to UMass and became a solid player in the NFL. Maybe this guy can do the same.
he is not a very fast guy and seems to get caught or nearly caught from behind alot. the level of competition is not the same either the guys he was playing looked rather small to me. i mean he could be a great back but doesnt seem like a fit for us. we need someone with speed and power and blocking all in one
