Just glanced at a live chat with Mel on ESPN.com and he cites that 2 overrated prospects are Alan Branch and Chris Houston.

I tend to agree with Houston. He really did not put up huge numbers at Arkansas and the only reason his stock is rising is because of his performance at the combine. He has workout warrior written all over him. I'd rather stick with Revis or Hughes.

i dont think alan branch is overrated. I think his stock falling has been an over analysis of the tape. They looked at every play he had and whenever he doesn't make an impact on a play his stock falls. He is a huge DT and yet he is still very athletic. He can potentially be an excelelnt DLineman in both the 4-3 and the 3-4

Leg Stress fractures, and questionable motor, that is enough to have a guy drop, I wouldn't mind him but he is no top 10 pick

Quick question, why the love for Hughes, he is a cover 2 CB in the mold of Srait, he would not fit into our defense at all

    hughes *vomits*......wow got that out.

lol. im with you. i dunno why everyone is bashing aaron ross actually. he has great size, not great, but definitely good speed. and he plays the run as well as he does the pass. something big in a 3-4.

but revis would be the dream pick.

Yeh it is very strange, I just do not see any reason for wanting Hughes, even in the 7th round, our defense just will not work with this guy, give him to KC or TB or even Pittsburgh now that they are going cover 2

The one thing i keep hearing about Houston and Ross is that although they seem like bust candidates... The one thing they have going for them is that they are talented at the "lost art" of the bump and run. Very few can still do this without committing penalties and getting burned. If they can master it, they can avoid being busts and do well in the league.. The knock on them is the fact that they cannot play zone, which is true, but its easier to go from man to zone then zone to man.
