nba lottery is rigged...therefore the nets are winning 1.nets 2.bobcats 3.hornets 1 of those teams get it but with the new stadium and deron leaving (most likely) plus not being able to get dwight gives the stern a good reason to give them the #1 pick
It is rigged. Damn I didn't even think of the Nets. I figured Stern would rig it for N.O. for all the flack he got for nullifying the Paul trade because he wanted them to have draft picks. Getting the No.1 and a future star makes him look better.
dunno, you guys seem to think the NBA rigs every lottery for some team I don't think the Nets will win tonight's lotto.
give me a break yes they did lol...spurs weren't that great before Duncan and they wanted to create a dynasty. Also looks at other scenarios: LBJ to his hometown? Cavs getting 1st round pick right after they lost Lebron? Rose to the Bulls to bring the franchise back to champ contenders? OKC becoming a team and getting both Kevin Durant(2) and Russel Westbrook(4)? Ewing to the Knicks 'by chance'? John Wall to the Wizards after losing gilbert? (owner at the time was a good friend of stern too) the list goes on my friend.
I got the Bobcats winning it. David Stern repaying his debt to jordan for bringing life back to the NBA $$$$$
So every good player that gets drafted is a rig job? Jeez the NBA is a bigger conspiracy than I ever could have imagined
When the Nets don't win it tonight there will be another explanation for why it was rigged for whichever team wins the lottery.

Wait so you think the NBA rigged the lottos knowing Rose would turn into a superstar? They rigged SEA getting the 2 pick because they knew anyone with the one pick was picking Odon (confirmed by SEA FO after the fact). Then they rigged Westbrook turning into a superstar and Ibaka becoming a solid player? Then the NBA also rigged the CLE trade that got them the #1 pick after Lebron left and then rigged the pick? Funny how all the rigged lottos are the ones that "worked" out for the team? Why didn't the NBA rig the lotto for Kwame Brown to WAS? Or Bogut to MIL or Bargini to TOR or Olowokandi to LA?
 this is great. But it's how it works. No matter who wins, people will create a conspiracy to fit what happened. Every franchise has a story. I'm confident the Nets won't win tonight, just because of the percentages, and I believe there's an actual lottery. If you don't, you can get better than 10/1 odds on the Nets winning the lottery. 5 Dimes has odds. I hope it is. The nets have been screwed in the lottery a few times after being the worst team lol Time for the bobcats to feel the wrath. Then again im a bias nets fan
lol one thing is for sure the Nets desperately need a top 3 player. especially if D-Will leaves (which im sure he will) i was confident they were a trade or two away from being a contender, but as most nets fans found out were a long ways away from anything. as if 2000 to 2010 wasnt brutal enough after coming so close so many times lol. my guess would be Bobcats get it, that team is a floating carcass as a business model. the lottery system is definitely flawed but with all the flopping going on nowadays you know teams would definitely tank it if they adopted the NFL draft format. I just want to see my team become relevant again. then again a 7.5% chance, I hope its rigged and the OP is right lolol.
it is less of an advantage which is why the NBA instituted the lottery, but teams do it anyway, moreso in the NBA than the other major sports. Having a 30% chance or whatever at the #1 pick is a lot different than having the #1 pick, but there's obvious taking every season regardless.
