Just saying that if one is tired of announcers, set the option on your tv to the Spanish audio if available . Usually the only audio you hear on that ch. is the game's sound, no announcers.

It was an "experiment" by NBC (who carried AFC games at the time) to make a TV broadcast similar to a stadium experience. By the way, I remember the Jets winning this very non-descript game.
well for todays game,there are spanish announcers. Usually this isnt the case for most JETS games I've watched on CBS.
I watched it. I recall we won the game. 1st year of college.....it was weird. Rest of the year was an abomination.
The game was without announcers to try an experiment. That was the 'official' reason. The unofficial reason was the actors strike that fall had crippled the networks profitability. It saved NBC tens of thousands of dollars.
