By this I mean, who is your sleeper, your Tom Brady, your Mr. Can't Miss or Mr. Will be Great. I am curious to get other's opinions on this. We always talk about how you can find great value in the draft, especially mid to late rounds. Who do you think is the guy we will look at 5 years from now and say either "We should have taken a chance with this guy," or "I'm so happy coach had the balls to pick this guy." Let's hear it. Time for meaningful discussion, I have had enough of these assinine trade threads and rumors.... Jabba, if you are still alive and well I am anxious to hear your views especially....
Charles Gordon from Kansas. He should be a good cornerback and also can return kicks. Played some WR at Kansas, too, if an NFL team wants to experiment and is into the whole Dale Carter-Deion Sanders-Champ Bailey thing.
I think that Dominque Byrd (while not a sleeper) may end up as the most productive tight end in this draft, but won't be drafted in the first round.
Drew Olsen - QB UCLA. From what I have seen of him, he should be successful in the NFL. He will, at best, go in the 3rd, and more likely the 4th. He is a pinch short at 6'3", but very workable. At 225, he has a decent frame. His mobility is good and has a pretty strong arm. He is the type of player who would excell with a good supporting cast around him.
I like Jeff Mroz QB from Yale... the guy is huge 6'5 and has a cannon for an arm. You know the guy is inteligent because he got a business degree at Yale. Could be a poor man's Big Ben as they are very similar in technique and style. I also like Anthony Mix from Auburn, good size and speed. Hands are questionable but has alot of potentila to grow and could project to an H-back.
The UCF WR Marshall. He had a great Aloha Bowl game and Hula game as well. He is tall and strong. He might not get drafted until Day 2 but I think that he will be a very, very good player. Some have compared him to Plaxico.
I agree with you GreenHornet. Drew Olsen, i think, or just have a hunch will be a pretty good QB in 2-3 years. Lets see where he goes, alot depends on that.
my Hidden Gem... Brett Elliot QB Linfeild College. He played D III football the past 2 seasons but was the starter at QB at Fresno State until Alex Smith took over for him when he sustained an injury... Great #'s (granted DIII) at Linfield and very good at Fresno St. Big Arm, Mobile and smart
Eric (?) Henderson DT from Georgia. Just one of those big, fat sloppy guys that clogs up the middle. And he moves pretty well
Devin Hester from The U!!!! I am a diehard Canes/Jets fan here in Miami. The guy underachieved here in Miami, but he wasn't used correctly under Larry "down syndroned" Coker. He is an awesome kick returner. Man, he is magical with the ball. He is always the fastest guy on the field. He can play DB, WR, 3rd down back, kick returner, punt returner. I am praying the Jets take a shot at him around rounds 4-7. Go Canes! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!
RB PJ Daniels out of Ga Tech may be a guy who can have some success in the NFL. He runs hard, low center of gravity, just not the fastest guy in the world.
Well, in KY you probably only saw him fumble with your wife/sister washing the pig in front of the TV.
In KY you probably weren't watching the TV correctly since your wife/sister was washing the pig in front of your 13 inch TV.
