Fucking Marson Lattimore from OSU. I am SICK OF SEEING THIS GUY GETTING MOCKED TO US!!!!! He has hamstring issues in the past, with all of the CBs taking a CB at 6 is probably the worst thing the Jets could do.

I'm totally with you on that one. One year starting in college with 2 injury filled years before that.

Lattimore is not a case of a risky pick. He's a hand grenade with the pin already pulled.

    Dee Milliner; Part Deux.

I would seriously give up on the Jets forevermore if they did this.

That's a great metaphor. This scares the crap out of me. Every mock I see, this guy is tied to the Jets. I look at all of the prospects in the top 15, this guy looks to be the absolute worst. This would hands down be the worst selection. Far worse then Dee, who was very injury prone, but proved himself to be a better player in college.

I don't want Allen or Solomon thomas for obvious reasons.

Dee Milliner might have missed one game at Alabama in the 3 years he started. He was beat up a lot but he made all the practices too.

Then he got to the Jets and suddenly he couldn't stay on the field after his first season. I think a lot of that has to do with the character of the team. On a team like Alabama that was dominating there was a sense that he was part of a bigger whole and had to do everything he could to stay on the field at all costs.

Then he goes to the Jets and the culture is weak, because it was all centered around Rex and not the team, and he already has some money and I'm guessing the drive to get on the field and stay there at all costs was just gone. It's also possible he was just too beat up by that point. The body is resilient but only too a point and the spirit has to make up the difference if that is even possible.

Any CB or Safety, no matter who it is. There's plenty of these to be had in later rounds. Only those who live and breathe "D" 24/7 would agree that CB/S is a bigger need than any "O" position.

Judging by the Nick Saban interviews, he ran those corners to the ground in practice as well.

I think a lot of us are in agreement with this pick. As much as I don't want any RB at 6 a CB would be far far worse.

Cornerback yes, safety no. There are 2 elite level safeties [first round] and 1 good safety [2nd round] that the Jets could really use. You won't find the same talent level in the later rounds for the safety position. So depending on who is available, I think to me it comes down to Hooker, Adams, OJ Howard, Foster, Corey Davis and MAYBE Ramczyk as it appears he is recovering from hip surgery.

He was mocked to us by Bucky Brooks, but I don't see this happening as Allen might drop due to shoulder concerns. Just as bad however, agreed.

Im with u, I cant picture allen being the pick. Im also with u on Lattimore. Good player, but the CB class is so deep, and we're expected to make a run at Bouye

I agree, Safety is thinner, and a case could be made for Adams I guess, but IMO, this pick has to help the "O". The only caveat I would make on that would be if Garrett fell to us there, but I would be watching out for flying pigs before that happens.

    I'll go with Jabril Peppers.

He is a great athlete and may be great on special teams.

With that being said, he is a tweener, a project, a player without a position.

In round two or three, sure roll the dice on this guy but at #6 overall, forget it.

Either safety would help the Jets tremendously. This pick doesn't have to be O, especially if you have other picks that can address the offensive line. They can go after a lineman in round 2, get a TE and RB in round 3. The TE / RB talent will be there in the later rounds.

I see your reasoning, but I don't like it. That's okay...there's lots of things in life I don't like, but I've survived this long in spite of that.
