Manish was asked in his chat today which of the UDFAs that the Jets have picked up has impressed the most, he says that Cordarol Scales is a "freak of nature". I know he's a 6'4" 220 WR, anyone know anything about him from college?
great question... i would love to know more also... i found it odd that the jets picked up another WR... im pulling for Scotty McWhite to impress and make the squad as the 5th receiver... does Scales have a decent shot at making this team? also would love to know that status of Turner and if he has a shot at being the 5th
Iggy actually knows him. He talked about him in the free agency thread when w signed him. He definitely isn't a fb. Wr all the way.
The front office and us fans will have a better idea of the WR position after a few preseason games. None of these players have anything locked down at the 4th/5th WR spot yet.
I believe you, when he was signed a beat reporter listed him as a FB too. He is a wr, not a fb though.
Thanks Iggy, that's helpful. Will be interesting to see if he gets any reps during pre-season. M3D8, presume you mean Scotty McKnight? In the same chat Manish reckons his best bet is the PS.
good point... well have to wait and see how they perform... it seems like kerley pretty much has the 4th spot locked up... i think its just the 5th that is undecided... nevertheless should be a good competition overall
Incredibly doubtful, at least for this season. If I had to guess, Logan Payne would earn the 5th WR position at this point with Turner as the dark horse. We're unlikely to carry a 6th on the 53-man, even as a weekly inactive. McKnight will probably head to the PS. At best that's where Scales would end up, but he's much more likely to be a camp casualty. There's obviously a chance that he could be brought into camp again next year.
