The way things look now, we'll be on the road against one of these 4 teams in the Wildcard round. Who do we match up best/worst against and why? - Colts - Chargers - Jaguars - Chiefs Here are some offensive stats to help: - Colts have the best passing offense in the league w/ 304 YPG - Chargers have the 2nd best passing offense in the league w/ 286 YPG - Chiefs have the best rushing offense in the league w/ 165 YPG - Jaguars have the 2nd best rushing offense in the league w/ 158 YPG On the defensive side of the ball... - Chargers have the best D in the league allowing 265 YPG with the best pass D (only 173 YPG and the 4th overall rushing D with 92 YPG) - Jaguars and Chiefs pass D looks suspect ranked 28 & 22 respectively - Colts rushing D is 5th worst in the league I have to think it would be Jacksonville since I don't think Gerrard could do much against us and our defensive strength should be able to limit their best offensive weapon - MJD. On offense I think we can run to set up the pass.
Easy. Chiefs. We play great against the run so if we can shut that down to under a 100 yards, they'd have to beat us through the air. As for Colts and Chargers, all they do is pass, n we are not good at it. Jags and Chiefs would be much easier.
Our team is built to matchup well against anyone. Of things come together like they did last year only now we have a much improved QB and the team has experience together in these situations. The Jags would be the easiest target but if we're going to make it all the way we'll have to beat the best anyway. If the Colts do make it, I'd like for us to take them out right off the bat. I know the players would be extra amped for that chance.
The toughest team of the bunch (imo) is the Chargers and theyre also the least likely to make the playoffs on there.
i think their running back jamaal charles or whatever his name is could seriously rip this defense apart along the sidelines. I'd rather play the Jags. The only person I see Garrard being able to throw to is Mercedes Lewis. Revis, and Cro will piss on Sims Walker, and whoever else.
We'll see. If Collie is out for the season that's a completely different football team. Peyton's rough stretch coincided with Collie's injury. The Colts really hit a home run with that draft pick.
^VERY debatable. At the least, they're both elite, Top 10 backs right now. Jamaal Charles is having an underratedly AMAZING season. We match up better with the Jaguars, imo, because their defense is not as good as the Chiefs, and neither is their homefield. I'd say, in order of easiest matchup to hardest, it would go: 1. Jaguars 2. Chiefs 3. Colts 4. Chargers Colts slightly easier than the Chargers because: 1) These are just not the same Colts...still have Peyton, but no Collie or Dallas Clark. 2) Their defense is just horrendous. 3) Chargers would be tough to stop if Gates is healthy.
He was a 4th round pick and he plays better than almost any other 4th round pick from 09. He's only 25 he's got a future in front of him. You watch. So yes I agree...even tho you were being sarcastic.
I want to face the Chargers. Cro and Revis on Jackson and Floyd. You know Cro and LT are going to be crazy in that game. Their D has impressive numbers but its a bit overrated. If Gates is out I cant see us losing.
