I mean, the division leader gets the best WR and linebacker in the off-season and we do nothing but get a RB who is not as good as the guy(s) we had in 2004. Then we force out our best OL player. I said 5-11 before the season started and that may be optimistic.
Our OL looked very good today and is clearly improving every week. I think one of the bright spots on this team the way the OL is improving.
Unfortunately you're right, this is pathetic and I can't take watching this crap anymore. Every wk it's the same BS.
I have to review the schedule, but from the quick glance I had a while ago. I dont see us winning 3 games. IF THAT. So SAD
I am really starting to wonder how much longer I can watch, I really thought I could stomach this, but Chad has single handedly destroyed our season, if Kellen started this season this team could be 4-2 or 5-1. I am truly disgusted.
realistically, once we make the QB switch, you will see a significant difference in the play....it most likely will light a fire under their asses
Yes, but that's because Chad has become so much more of a problem in the last 3 weeks. The offensive line is still not good enough to match up against strong teams and not get blown out. Chad however is the bigger problem at the moment because he can't beat anybody right now.
we've played the Pats once, so what they did has absolutely no correlation to the Jets inabilities. the Pats could be 3-2, and it wouldn't change the fact that the Jets are 1-5.
I was getting more and more depressed as the game approached and just couldn't stop getting angrier and angrier as the game went on. And I saw this coming and if nothing changes for next week, being a die-hard Jet fan I get to time warp back to the 'Rich Kotite Jets' 10 more times this year.
So do we still need to get 1st/2nd round picks on the Oline, or should we wait til the end of the year to declare what the Jets should draft????
HMMMMMM 1 - 5,, I wonder when the green bags on the heads will appear in the stadium. Just a thought.
the OL has def progressed as a unit thus far. the defensive line is still a giant dissapointment though...although i dont think anyone thought they would be good, they have been a bigger dissapointment than originally thought. schad is killing us. hes one of the main reasons were losing games. im not saying our defense is helping things, but aside from one big play there werent many breakdowns and they played a reasonably decent game today. dearth needs to get his head out of his ass on the long snaps... and schotty is beginning to dissapoint too. who here didnt see that 4th and 1 play comming...i knew they were going to the left side, and i knew they were going to coles....i only had the throw wrong...although i think it was just a poorly thrown fade, it didnt really fade...why isnt chris baker being used in the goal line? and have we seen enough goddamned QB sneaks? i mean, jesus christ....everyone and their mother knows that is comming..unless its the CS secretly trying to injure chad so they can start kellen... after 6 weeks this team is a disaster. i didnt think we would win more than 6 games, but they are much worse than i had thoght they were.... at least they finally ran thomas jones and kick started the running game...too bad they didnt do that with a fuckin 10 point lead last week...im sorry for using foul language, but i am close to the breaking point.
I dunno man....I was w/ ya for awhile w/ the lack of talent on the OL, and I still think overall depth is a concern, but the unit has played very well the past 3 games. The first half of today's game proved alot of people's point that Chad is the reason why we cant run the ball. The Eagles started the game playing a base 7 man front, expecting us to take advantage of their depleted secondary(Notice they didnt play a nickel)...we ran the ball extremely effectively and saw some big cutback lanes for Jones to run through(The eagles dont exactly stink against the run BTW). As soon as they realized Chad was the QB..they loaded up w/ an 8 man front, and again, we couldnt run the ball. Pass protection all game was not a front 5 personell issue. The OL did their job... the only pressure was a result of poorous blocking by TE's, RB's and some creative blitz packages by Philly. Offensively, the overall talent...is above average by NFL standards. Unfortunately, that talent is held back severely, by a lackluster QB w/ absolutely no arm strength.
On offense, I REALLY don't see ANY significant issues, beyond the obvious QB/Coaching..... Yet another reason I believe Mangini is delusional when he throws the OL under the bus instead of acknowledging Chad's terrible play
I Swear i hate those patriots lol , hopefully we can turn this thing around but the way penny's playing i think its time to give clemens his chance.
