I have a couple: Will Blackmon WR/CB/PR/KR - Boston College. Great "Mangini" type player where he can be plugged into multiple positions. A GREAT Athlete! Orien Harris DT - Miami - Why hello Orien. Why are you still not drafted? A. J. Nicholson ILB - Florida State, His off the field problems will keep him from being drafted by the Jets, but his on the field production is great =\ Leon Washington RB/PR/KR - Florida State, He was the team voice and leader for Florida State the last two years. Crazy ability to shake multiple tackles in one play then do the same thing the next. Jeff King TE - Virginia Tech, Seen him play. Excellent catching TE! Quadtrine Hill FB - Miami, WAYYYYYY faster in game than his "4.71" 40 time. This guy can be used as a FB immeditaley and can catch on the run and make plays. Can also play special teams right off the bat. Demetrius Williams WR - Oregon, his "inconsistency"(stated by nfl.com) will probably leave him unpicked by the jets, but have watched him play multiple times and he caught my eye.
Orien Harris doesn't seem to be a fit as a NT in the 3-4, but he still is an intriguing player. Gabe Watson has the size and ability to be the big guy in the middle, but the question is if he has the heart to play hard every down. It might be worth it to give the guy a shot with a 4th rounder.
1)no not in the 4th 2)no undersized for the 3-4, definitely isn't a NT, better DT available to switch to DE in the 3-4 3)will go undrafted, is a better college player than pro + all the other nonsense 4)to small 5)i like him, but there are still better TE prospects on the board
I just hope for Charles Gordon and Greg Threat on Day 2 hopefully they qualify as "Mangini guys" but my guess is they dont cause i like them.
Jonathan Scott and Ryan O'Callaghan are two OT's still available if we're looking for one. Darnell Bing and Ko Simpson, safetys. I personally like Demetrius Williams first and foremost.
yeah, can you say mike williams of guards...the guy has bust written all over him...his weight is a major issue
If you're implying that we shouldn't pick him because he's big, then you have little idea what you are talking about. He is a bit big, but we can't have five soft lineman and not run a zone blocking scheme. Jean-Gilles would toughen us up.
There is a reason Gilles is still available. And we don't need to be the suckers who tried to overcome that reason.
Who cares if they're ugly? Jean-Gilles is still a top guard in this draft whether he fell or not. A lot of people are hypocrites wanting Ted Washington (during free agency) and Gabe Watson, yet shooting down Gilles because of his weight.
Babunte Oshinowo and Max-Jean Giles for the 4th rounders. I know it'd be O-Line overkill, but how much longer can you let Giles and Rod Wright/O'Callagahn sit out there?
No way we take Gabe Watson. He's a low effort, poor working fatass who can't stay in shape. - Babatunde Oshinowo NT: Would be a good fit in the 3-4. - Parys Haralson/Mark Anderson: Fills need as pass rushing OLB. - Martin Nance/Hank Basket WR: Big physical WR that can develop.
It doesn't matter, nobody I want gets picked anyway. I would want Jean-Giles and Martin Nance or DeMetrius Williams. I'd like Gabe Watson, but I see him going later anyway in a very Antaajj Hawthrone-like fall.
