Jets want a white out Sunday. Just figured I would make a thread about it so people going to the game are aware. They have tried to do this a few times the past couple of years, most of the time it doesn't really seem like it works out.
They have done this before with green and from what I saw and read, it was a great success. I love this idea. Makes the fan base more unified.
For a solid 6 to 8 seconds I sat here thinking, "Who the fuck is White?" Then I thought you may have meant weather for about a 1/2 second, but It's September. Then for 3-4 more seconds I thought, maybe this is the opposite of a black-out. I wonder wha.. Then it hit me you were talking about clothes.
For this to be most effective, a plain white tee shirt would beat a jersey. Also, Negroes should skip this game.
It only works if you give out white t-shirts at the door, but we're cheap so they're only giving out white towels.
I think he's talking about the Jets marketing not getting the word out to fans and that he only saw their request on this forum. I guess he doesn't have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram because the Jets official accounts have posted it daily for the last week. I guess they're assuming their true fans follow them on social media, crazy right?
Every Jets beat reporter has been reporting it for a few days and its on their website. Not sure how else they can get the word out.
Cause Green makes way more sense. Most people where green to the game anyway. They should just stick with the "green outs"
You're partially correct. Guess I'm just a dinosaur who believes if a business wants to reach their customers they actually purchase advertising or issue press releases through established media rather than have an intern hit a handful of freebies. It's a matter of professionalism. And effectiveness.
Of course I'm wearing white. It's going to be sunny and hot, not looking for any ball sweat wearing anything dark. _
The team is likely to wear white. I have not seen info, but I am going to assume the Jets will force Oakland to wear black. The smart fans will wear light colored clothing anyway. If you have a choice between white or green, white is the way to go.
True, but this sort of thing is really hard to advertise. There's really no media to put it on that everyone will see, social media is probably the most effective actually. Even then, barely a majority of the people going will be informed, that's why I said that in order to work the team needs to provide white shirts at the door (like the Miami Heat do). But I guess 60,000 white t-shirts are too expensive for a billionaire.
God I hope the Jets just take em apart. Let me enjoy my football Sunday and Monday (Cowboys-49ers, Broncos-Colts, Lions-Giants). If the Jets lose, football may become hard to watch for me for a full week =/.
