Not a darksider or anything. Just ruminating.

This team just got pants'ed in front of a national audience. A loss like this usually does 1 of 2 things to a team. It's a splash of ice water that wakes them up and they kick the shit out of everyone for the rest of the year or it's an embarrassment they never recover from until next season (if they're lucky). Either way, the team is never the same afterwards.

Win or lose, if they had made half time adjustments and at least shown up in the second half last night i would have felt optimistic that this would be a team ice bath. I'm concerned that they had no answers...they didn't even seem to know what questions to ask. That's far more troubling than the loss.

well if you are the Jets you forget this game quickly and move on. Remember the feeling of it though and take out your anger on your next opponent. If they come out flat against Miami the crowd is going to turn on them fast and it will get nasty. The Jets need a blow out, they need the crowd behind them early, they need to play a balance game, and they need to get their swagger back.

    Simple.

Go back to fundamentals, run the ball, control the clock and do what you do best.

like play defense right? cuz we sure didnt do that yesterday.

i do agree with the OP, its going to push us one way or the other. We just have to hope its the ice bath method that forces us to prepare more and just flat out get better so we can destroy the bully in the playoffs.

They should find the shittiest most critical laughing stock article and post it on their lockers, their car dashboard, their refrigerators at home and have their kids/wives/girlfriends read it to them daily until the season is over.

I predicted that the Jets would go 2-3 over their last 5 games and I'm sticking to it. I fully expected a loss last night and I expect us to lose against Chicago and Pittsburgh. It would not shock me if we won one of those games but it also wouldn't shock me to see a loss against Buffalo or Miami.

The Jets desperately need to beat a good team to get some confidence going into the playoffs (assuming they make it).

Yes, tackle, cover and go back to basics.

The wheel doesn't have to be reinvented. The jets had a bad game ...pure and simple. Learn from it, put it in the past, and move on.

I'm surprised the 0-5 thread didn't get bumped.

We'll find out soon enough, we have a tough final 4 games. If we turly have a contender we'll bounce back quickly, if we are the team that showed up last night we'll have visions of '86 dancing in our heads.

while i don't think last nights debacle is the "end of the world" by any stretch....championship contenders don't take a shit on the field and then spend the next 60 minutes smearing it all over themselves...ever.

It has to start with a victory Sunday. Just win. Don't score if it's a blowout, "miracle", overtime, whatever. Just beat the fucking Dolphins
