I believe one of our Tight Ends will be cut or traded and IMO it should be Bubba Franks. With Keller, Baker and Pociask we are very deep in the receiving department. Both Baker and Pociask can handle the blocking duties. I don't see where Bubba Franks fits in to the mix. He seems to drop alot of balls and does nothing that really stands out. The only reason I can see him making the roster is because the Jets feel that Favre will be comfortable with him for the early part of the season.

Posciak offers nothing Baker wouldn?t offer. Franks is valuable in short yardage and goallinesituations. We either go with 4 TEs (5 if you count dearth) as last year, or Posciak will get the axe.

^ My thinking too. We just paid Franks money to come here, he won't get cut.

I believe Keller will become a much bigger threat in goal line situations. Having Bubba around simply takes too many needed reps away from Keller. I still think Franks should be the one to go.

Franks should be cut...he has shown nothing to deserve a roster spot.

He probably should be but he won't be because that would mean the FO would have to admit a mistake and they haven't shown they will do that since they got here.

If Tangini really really feel like this is their year, then MAYBE you keep the vet and risk Pociask on the PS (I think he's still eligible) or if maybe you think Favre needs the safety blanket, for translating or touchdowns, then you keep Franks, but otherwise, Franks offers nothing but inconsistent hands and brain.

At first I was thinking Franks, but with his relationship with Favre he stays. Posicak looks like a younger and cheaper version of Baker so he is going nowhere. Keller... enough said. I hate to say it, but if its 3 TE's, then Baker is gone

This isn't the year without a good RB. I'm sure they must know that. Rudi Johnson is on the block but we don't have any WRs we can afford to trade for him and that's what Cincinnati needs.

I thought about that too and then said no way..they don't have the balls to do that.

Rudi is done, that´s why he´s on the block. And do you really think you need a good RB to be in the mix? Oh, and if we got something to offer, than it´s a WR.

Yes, you can't win without a good running game and a good run defense. We have neither. We might get to the playoffs but we won't go deep without both of those.

Well, i think we have the line now to open holes for a good back. We just don't have the good back to run through them.

I disagree, we got the back, that can take advantage of the holes a good Line creates, but our line isn?t anything special.

Wow..we have 4 1st round picks on that line. Some of the "experts" think it is one of the best in the game right now. I see huge holes and I don't see Jones running through them..ever.

Cut Baker. Pociask is the same guy and cheaper. Baker is worth a good 4th/5th.

Yeah, the line seems good, but without the back (maybe there's one, maybe there isn't, I don't know, but if there isn't ...) that surfeit of TE might become valuable for Favre as a short passing substitute/supplement to the running game. It's something he's been doing throughout his career, passing to TE and RB, sometimes multiple ones on the field.

Just an FYI, Bubba has not been catching a lot of passes in GB from Favre for a few years now. Last year it was almost totally Donald Lee (big reason why GB let him go I think). But on the other hand I assume Jets signed him becasue they still see playmaking ability.

I hope no one is down on Franks because of that motion/line penalty Saturday. it's already been well established he was moving as he was supposed to, someone else messed up in stepping up to line when he pulled back.
