if Revis traded and we grab an additional first, which scenario would you like best? A. 1. BPA 2. BPA B. 1. Damontre Moore 2. Kenny Vacarro (reasoning behind these two is we would have two high first rd picks. Moore at 9 and Vacarro at 13, with Revis gone we need to fillthe secondary void. C. 1. Geno Smith 2. Chance Warmack (we take a much needed QB, and a guard because both of our starters are FA's.) D. 1. Chance Warmack 2. Barkevious Mingo (take a guard and Mingo will probably be the best available pass rusher at 13.) E. 1. Jarvis Jones 2. Dion Jordan/Ziggy Ansah (we double up on OLB) F. 1. Corradelle Patterson 2. Giovani Bernard (double up on offense, both are needs)
If that were to happen, I'd say Warmack and Jordan preferably. That would make me blow my load. But in your scenarios, I go A or B. I'm very very high on Vaccaro and see him as a potential elite Safety at the next level with a couple years of teaching under him. So to grab him and Moore would make our Defense insane!!! Then best avail TE, RB, or OG in round 2
Chances are situation A is gonna look like any of B-E. Not a fan of F though, Gio Bernard at 13 is a big reach. Would not mind them trading down the 13th to get a cornerback and Gio Bernard late 1st early 2nd.
hate option f. too high for a rb and waste off resouce on a wr right now option c if geno smith becomes a franchise qb sets this team up for the next 6 years with mangold and ferguson option b might be the safest but does nothing to really help this team advance. can we combine smith and vaccaro?
C or F... but I would be happy with any of those probably (maybe aside from Mingo, but assuming its a late first, he has value there). And as much as I love Gio, he doesnt present value until the late 20's IMO. I think he gets picked in the 35-40 range though. If we got the Bucs 1st, I think something like Geno, Patterson, Gio/Lacy could be possible and would without a doubt turn this offense around. It would definitely give us playmakers on offense- something you could never have enough of. We could target players like Corey Lemonier, Tank Caradine, Brandon Jenkins in the 3rd or even 2nd if we get an extra one from the Bucs. Also Walter Stewart is creating a lot of buzz and could be an option.
If they managed to get Geno, Patterson, and Gio, that could end up being a very effective rebuild of the offense.
I'd be happy with A, B or E, with another pick on defense (for OLB or safety.) Jets should be able to dump Nacho's stupid contract, shitcan that bitch Santonio and concentrate on offense starting from next year and on. Provided they get a quality players from the top three rounds, with good depth from 4/5/6, Jets offense would be back in business by year 2.
I'd prefer Dion Jordan & then Gio or Lacy. ====== Sticking only with your packages, I'd choose F: The offense immediately gets the fire power to win games. Even if Sanchez started the entire season, that offense would still be productive. Rounds 2 & 3 Jets can get solid OLB & Safety prospects. Or even OLB in both 2 & 3. 1st round = Patterson/Bernard (means Holmes can walk after this season ends also). 2nd round = Jonathan Cyprien, S 3rd round = Sean Porter, OLB
my option would be "B", I forgot to mention it. we add a dynamic pass rusher and a very polished safety. then in round 2 we address the offense (also get two picks, if we trade with TB) I would go receiver and TE. 3rd and 4th would be running back/linebacker.
1. Damontre Moore 1b. Kenny Vaccaro 2. Larry Warford 2. Tyler Eifert 3. Jawan Jamison/Stepfan Taylor If the trade for Revis goes through according to your assumption of receiving a 1 and 2, then this is hopefully what it would look like when its all done
A, C & E would be cool, but how about. G. Trade back pick #9, Trade back Pick if inside top 20, Pick up 2 additional 2nd rounders.
