I picked the posters who seem to know everything about the team and the NFL. They all have different ideas about how the team should be run, so I was wondering who everyone here would trust to run the team. Obviously this is one of those "If you had to choose" type questions.
I guess there is a poll upcoming and I figure Br4dw4y5ux will be one of the options. No way would I want him running the team. I would maybe hire him as a consultant.
I made it. That's cool, I guess. Br4dw4y5ux is intelligent, but is very negative. I wouldn't trust him in dealing with players and agents. I think things could get very contentious with him.
Mr. Electric would put together a hell of a draft, and he's kind of a dick, so he wouldn't be a push-over in negotiations.
Ignatius loves to fuck retards in the ass.....so dealing with agents should be second nature for this young exec. Revis would've been signed by now under Ig's watch. Ig gets the nod.
I think our assumption here is TommyGreen is asking who would make the best GM. Director of College Scouting would be best for MrElectric. I don't think you want the GM to be a "dick" because the guy has to work with so many different people whether it be staff, players, agents, and other general managers across the league. "Tough" is good but "dick" is not good. Edit- The following is an example of a GM (or in this case, an assistant GM) who engaged in "dick" activities. Assistant general manager James Harris had a deal worked out with the Buccaneers for the Jets 2nd round pick in the 1996 draft. The Jets were supposed to make a trade with the Buccaneers if Leeland McElroy was still available when the Jets spot came up at the top of Round 2. McElroy was indeed available when the Jets were on the clock. They went against their word and did not trade with the Buccaneers. The Jets drafted Van Dyke. You could say the Jets got what they deserved. With the next selection, the Cardinals picked McElroy. He busted. The Buccaneers "settled" for Mike Alstott. The Buccaneers director of player personnel was Tim Ruskell. He received a call from Harris after the Jets picked Van Dyke. "Tim, I'm so sorry. When Van Dyke was still there, the coaches just went ahead and took him right away." Tony Dungy told this story in his memoir. ____ Maybe that wasn't too bad, after all Harris claimed the coaches walked over him, but it did annoy the Bucs and Dungy. In a situation like that, you would be hesitant to ever try to do business with those people again. I don't know that MrElectric would do something underhanded like that. All I'm trying to get across is that I do not think that being a "dick" is a positive attribute if one wants to be a GM.
great idea for a thread If I had to pick it would be NDMick as his ideas, out of the selections, most align w. mine.
Out of that list, here's how I'm employing them w/the Jets. Br4dw4y5ux - President of Football Operations IgnatiusJReilly - GM Abyzmul - Head Coach NDmick - Defensive Coordinator CatoTheElder - Assistant Coach - Film Study Mr Electric - Director of Scouting Jetfanmack - Pulic Relations/Media Director Cakes - Team Historian nyjunc - Team Lawyer WhiteShoeWillie - Water Boy ollie - Laundry MBGreen - Janitor
That role you have for CatoTheElder would be quality control/defense. Jim O'Neil is the Jets coach with that title. I think that would be a good spot for CatoTheElder.
I Love you guys, But I wouldn't let any of the lunatics from this board run a hot dog stand at a JETS game, Fuck running the team.
