Now i've been a big Mets fan my whole life, and only really got into football and the Jets the last couple of years. I was not initially sure Favre was the answer to all our problems but reading the forums, hearing the "experts" and seeing Brady go down much to the dismay of my NE sports routing roomates in week one, i truly began to believe perhaps this year things would come together for the Jets, not to mention the Mets started to pull ahead in the NL east. Then Sunday happened, Mets lose, Phillies sweep, Jets lose to the Brady-less pats, even when all the analyst who never doubt the pats started doubting them....My question to you, all you Met/Jet fans b/c i know there are many of us, is which one hurts most? Which team at the end of this season is least likely to succeed? At this point i'm just hoping one of them can make the playoffs...

the Jets have a better shot of making the playoffs. I think if they can get their act together, they can be really good. the Mets, on the other hand, just have too many problems -- mainly every pitcher in the bullpen.

seeing as how i dont watch the mets, clearly the jets are more painful to watch... They just lead you on, and tear your heart out year in and year out.

It's like a beautiful girl coming up to you at a party, taking you back to her place, and as things start getting going, and you think you know exactly whats going on, and Bam she whips out a johnson bigger than yours. Then you clearly no longer are interested in doing anything, much less watching them anymore, and you are just saying, Thank God that's over with. Then next season rolls around and you get sucked in again by another beautiful woman, to return once more to the crying games....

    SCREW The Mets!

I could care less about baseball period!

Why is this even allowed in the New York Jets forum?

Can I ask a question about "What hurts most, the stock market crash or the New York Jets loss?"

    Always: THE JETS!

Or else you don't belong here.

Or how about: "What was worse, the recent MTV VMA Awards or the Jets Patriots game?"

You know the answer: "The Jets loss to the Patriots!"

This question should be tossed into the "Bullshit" category...

I Dont give a turd about the Mets but the yanks are barely in the playoff chase and there nail is almost in the coffin and well i think the jets are the bright spot and even after getting raped by NE again. I Think we'll still be around 9-10 wins and playoffs.

After the Mets complete their September collapse for the second straight year – I’m pretty sure I’ll be completely done with sports.

Look at it this way. If Gram continues to suck at punting, he most likely will not be our next GM. That makes the Jets a huge step up. I've been an Islander fan my whole life and have not been able to watch a game for a couple of years because that team is such a mess and has been for over a decade.

Reading your crap hurts more than all of it. Do us all a favour and stop being a fan. The team just lost a game, but I guess the 14 remaining don't matter now, right?

You know, your head is supposed to be used for more then just a plug for your ass....

In all honesty, I wasn't to upset about the loss, I feel confident that the Jets eventually might be able to mold together as a unit and still put a good football team out there and win some games. Going to school in New England with a bunch of annoying ass Pats fans just makes the games unbearable at some points especially during the last 2 years. I voted for the Mets, b/c as bad as Sundays game was there were some positive things to take from the game...i.e. our run D has looked sick in the first 2 weeks...etc....

I've really just gotten into it (That great series with Toronto was how I got into hockey) and how they're run is just a joke. I love the fact that they got a AHL coach, they're an AHL franchise.

This isn't even close. They Mets have given huge returns on investment several times during my life. The 1986 Mets is still the best team I've ever rooted for, narrowly beating out the 1994 Rangers.
