Which choice would be most ideal for the Jets draft? Or which combination would you perfer assuming all these players were available for the Jets first 3 picks? Choice 1: Rd 1: Maroita QB Rd 2: Devin Smith WR Rd 3: Hau'Oli Kikaha OLB Choice 2: Rd 1: Cooper WR Rd 2: Shaq Thompson OLB Rd 3: Cedric Ogbuehi G/T Choice 3: Rd 1: Eric Flowers OT R2: Jaelen Strong WR Rd 3: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB Choice 4: Rd1: Shane Ray OLB Rd 2: Dorial Green-Beckham WR Rd 3: Cedric Ogbuehi G/T
As someone who doesnt care for Mariota, I think I would take 4. But as the Jets might not be in this situation again soon, I would understand if they went with Mariota
Difficult to answer without knowing our Free Agents. I like 2 & 3 the best. #3 is intriguing because Ifo would be a steal in Rd 3 coming off the injury. I hate #4....I want no part of DGB in Rd 2.
#1, easily. All I needed to see was Mariota. You take the potential franchise QB if you have the chance.
overall I'd take #1. But I'd rather take round 1 from #1, Round 2 from #4 and round 3 from #1 or #3...I like either of those options for the 3rd pick OR Trade down a couple spots, get an extra third and then do Flowers, Green-Beckham, Hau'oli, Ifo Ekpre.
I voted for other. If I had to take one of them, it would be #1 because of Mariota, but I'm not very high on Smith, and I think the Jets HAVE to draft Brick's replacement this year. They can't pay him the $14+ million next year he's due. #2 is the second best imo. I hate both #3 and #4. I think Flowers is overrated by poster on this board, and am not very high on Strong or Ray. I love Green-Beckham's talent, but I would be surprised if the Jets new regime takes a chance on him, and am not sure I'd want them to.
Dream scenario for me right now would be: Trade back with Cleveland and somehow get both Kevin White and Melvin Gordon. White looks like Julio Jones and Gordon looks like a more powerful Jamaal Charles. Give Geno those weapons and our offense is instantly catapulted. If you're not convinced Mariota is the guy, I think you need to pass on him at #6. The more I watch of him, the more he reminds me of Ryan Tannehill. A definite upgrade but maybe not quite a franchise QB.
