My family and I just went through the schedule deciding who is going to each game (I'm a STH) since '81. I saw ANOTHER home game Thanksgiving weekend, which I despise (traffic, family time, travel). Here's what I found. The Jets have played a home game on Thanksgiving weekend every season since 2008, including two on Thanksgiving night. Meanwhile, over the same stretch, the Giants have played at home once. WTF?????? I find this to be outrageous. Share the stadium, share the schedule.
Clearly the schedule makers should call you from now on to see what dates and times are most convenient for you.
So the Jets players get to spend the Holiday with their family before and after the game, while the Giants are banging hookers on the road. I don't understand what your gripe is, you don't have to go to the game.
I personally love having a home game this weekend.Get me out of the house after days of family and turkey. Eat some beef and pork hang without a family member. that being said what REALLY sucks its a night game and I cant take a day off on Monday. BTW, been a STH since 1981 also. $11 a ticket and did not have to buy pre-season
Honestly home games Thanksgiving week seem like an advantage than disadvantage Plus weeks 10 through 17 we are at home 5 of 7. We have three home games in a row during that stretch. Our longest trek is to San Fran but they are awful. We play a road game in Foxboro...tough opponent but not tough travel wise
If you like the schedule you should probably thank Woody,,,if you hate the schedule you should prolly thank Woody,,,just sayin
I looked it up....in the last 8 years, the Jets have had to play a Sunday game over 100 times!!! WTF???
For some of us, we don't give a fuuuuuuuhhhhhh. Tailgate Turkey with friends AND Family...and the JETS!
I personally love it. I get to drop uncle bill and aunt Peg off at 13A, while I go to 16W with the fam, thus ending family time early.
