Whats the deal with NE doing something weird with other teams signal calls? Can someone explain what they are doing to figure out their apponents signal calls? Is it legal? Can we do anything about it? Because it looks like Miami did the same thing to NE to beat them two weeks ago.

I heard on the radio yesterday that there was a rumor that the Pats had hired someone to stand on their sidelines during the game. This person would dress up in a security outfit (or some other outfit) and use a video camera to record the other teams signals between the players and the coaching staff. The rumor said that the NFL has warned the Pats they could not do this.

The Pats came out with a statement saying no such warning had occurred.

    Believe what you want.

Man I hope Mangini has something in place to counter that on Monday. I feel like I should e-mail the Jets or something to remind him LOL!

"any taping or rebroadcast of this game is strictly prohibited by the NFL"

I doubt they have a camera on it. But I don't see anything illegal about learning another teams sognals...

you aren't allowed to make your own film for getting the other teams signals

you also arn't allows to have your own microphones for recording their snap

the only tools you have for learning the other teams signals, are scout films and tv films, if you use anything else, that is against the rules

Miami apparently did the same thing back to them two weeks ago. We all know the outcome of that game now. I just hope Mangini is fully aware of this. How would he go about countering it ya think? Is there even a way to do that?

If you're discussing something that happened with another NFL team on the internet Mangini already knows about it. You can take that to the bank.

    how about unethical.

it being unethical, it should be either illegal, or come with severe social anathema.

    they should be scourged.
