What exactly are you talking about?

EDIT: Ohhhh nevermind I didn't see your poll

I would rather Cut Chad because we are about 2-3 years away from going to the playoffs...

Cut him and go get your future QB

Sorry dude...we ain't winning with Chad Pennington. Three seasons in a row with MAJOR injuries...two of them to his throwing shoulder...not only is chad done physically, but I am sure the injuries have hurten his psyche.

Chad is a great guy and a wonderful competitor and was my favorite Jet hence my screen name, but it is time to move in another direction.

I am confused? I didn't realize it was an either or? If we don't cut Chad it's not like we are going to have 12 million to spend, right? Isn't his cap number like 9 million this year?

If we don't cut Chad it means he took a pay cut...I am not sure how much he is against the cap.

If Chad is on the roster, he makes $12M. If he is cut before 3/2, he counts $12M against the cap. The only benefit for us is that after this year, he is totally eliminated from the cap. Cimini says it could be $15M if he's on the roster, $12M against if he's cut pre-3/2, but he's the only one I've seen report that.

While Cutler gets killed behind a half-assed effort to rebuild an awful oline, has no weapons, while we have $17 million tied to 1 position that is getting killed night after night, great way to start a rebuild.

We may be lucky enough to be slightly competitive for 2 games next year, but then again it is a rebuild right?

How do you know it will be a half-assed effort to rebuild the OL? We're not going OL in the first round, anyway, so we can pick up a few linemen in rounds 2-4.

OK then Cutler is running around with no weapons behind a oline with absolutely no experience with each other, much better, right

He may be lucky enough to look as bad as Alex Smith last year

So then, please explain, how you would like us to fix the OL WITHOUT it being inexperienced. Keep in mind, we'll have to cut the veterans, and we won't be active in free agency. Should we just magically pull offensive linemen out of a hat?

See this is why you shouldn't assume anything...

When did I ever say I would even START Jay Cutler? Oh wait I didn't did I?

No Weapons? We have NO weapons? I agree we need to add some fire power to our team, but to say we have no playmakers is just silliness.

We don't have to draft a QB right now, setting him up to lose, put some FA QB to get killed for a year, trade down, get his weapons needed and get the first round QB next year so that he at least has a chance to succeed, like you guys said this is a 2-3 year rebuild, and getting a rookie QB behind this oline is a bust waiting to happen.
