I'd like to see Brad Smith line up as a Tight End once in awhile. I think he would or should make the opposing defenses a little edgy with him being that close to the ball.
I would like to see the jets take a no holds barred approach. We have favre and we have solid lines and above average players at the skill positions. So lets go for it, all in with no conservatism. Safety blitzes, bombs, go for it on fourth and short. Lets run up the score whenever possible, respect nobody and take the occasionally necessary unsportsmanlike conduct penalty:beer:.
How about we worry about winning 10 games before anything else? Forget putting players in positions they don't belong in. Forget worrying about winning the Super Bowl. Let's worry about beating the Dolphins, Bills, and Patriots, and hopefully at least getting a wild card. Anything after that is gravy.
Hoping for the winning attitude. I don't think Smith should be a Tight End. Just, play the position once in awhile. He has a natural scrambling ability. I think that we can all agree that we want the Jets to win every game; or, beat the Pats. I'd take either. The changes this year have allowed me to hope for success. And, I think this will take the weight off Nugent enough that he will do good also.
Making the playoffs would be a nice start. Also to actually start scoring some TD's in the RZ and stop settling for FG's. Hopefully Faneca will be able to help that when they are down by the goal line.
hmmm... good question. **substitute touchdowns for the overwhelming amount of FG's **beat the teams we're SUPPOSED to beat! CArdinals, 49's, BILLS, DOLPHINS, FALCONS etcetc -- you know.... the less threatening ones that look great on gameday when they play us **play with a fire and speed for four quarters instead of 3 **run the shit out of thomas while his legs are still nimble - 40 touches per game - burn that guy out while we have the chance... he wont be around in a 2 years **match the speed of a formidable opponent instead of slowing our game down to match ours. seems like when there's a formidable foe... we have to bring them DOWN to our level. **have a true QB READY TO GO and TAKEOVER when Farve has his coronary (it aint Clemmons!!) **draft a WR somewhere in the first two-three rounds i could go on, but i digress
