Fellas, I woke up this morning thinking about what today and tomorrow would have been like if only our Jets had only won that game in Indy. I was going to go on StubHub and buy those two SB tix I had my eye on. Then I was going to reserve my flight for tomorrow out of either Newark on Jet Blue or out of Atlantic City on Spirit Air. Probably AC. Then I was going to rent a car and get a motel reservation. I would have been all set. Today I would have been going freaking nuts, because of this snow storm. I can picture Newark Airport tomorrow morning, with all the cancellations, and AC Airport even worse with 24" and all Spirit Air flights cancelled, and here you are with 16,000 other Jets fans in the airport all dressed in green and white and every one of them looking for a flight down to Fort Liquordale. I told my wife, if it had come to that, you take off work today, becasue we're getting in the freaking car and we're driving. I'd probably be on I-95 in Virginia about now...probably get a room in Rocky Mount, NC, then head on into Fort Liqiuordale sometime tomorrow. Oh, if for a couple of TDs in that freaking 4th quarter and I'd be on the road right now! You know what thought? It still would have been all worth it! Go Jets! Maybe next year!
I'd be in a car driving to Miami right now. Had the trip planned and my cuz was gonna get his extra room ready for me n Mrs. Fozzi It would be absolutely insane and I would probably end up fighting with every Dolphag fan I ran into...
I was planning on going out of Atlantic City on Spirit. We have a duplex down on LBI, so we were going to be heading down there tonight and staying over and then going to AC Airport in the morning. But AC is going to get bombarded tonight, so yeah, I'd be on I-95 with you, heading south.
Would have been down in FLA all week out of Chilly Toronto. Probably would have hunted down that F'N Dolphin fan who spit on Rex and beat the snot out of him. Damn I wish they had won.....has training camp started yet ?
Even with my truck, the amount of gas I would have used would have been cheaper than flying. You lose 2 days with the drive but I thought it would be nice for me n the Mrs to bond a bit together. The added bonus is leaving the kids with my parents and having a weekend alone
I couldn't help but think about this as they showed all the SAINTS fans on Good Morning America as I ate breakfast........ I tried not to cry in my coffee :sad::shit:
I am having people over for a Super Bowl party. I sure wouldn't be having all those distracting loudmouths over if the Jets were playing.
I'd already be on the way to Miami instead of waiting until Monday to fly to Florida. If we'd been in Rexy would be $50 richer because he wouldn't have been boozing at an MMA fight, he'd have been preparing for the game.
So are we...... Throwing one at my parents house as a retirement & B-day party for my dad (brought his tools home this week). My brother is flying down from NY too....When we really were believing this could be the year everything seemed too perfect, and I started having grandiose ideas for the party..... projector lined up to show it outside on a big screen, while we schuck oysters by the fire.... (and the women and whoever wanted to talk during the game could "watch" inside) kegs, tent for the yard, etc...... I was planning on inviting any JETS fan at the bar too, hell any in town...... oh well. we're still going to party, but the enthusiasm won't be there. uggghhhhh :sad:
Oh Man, 227. I would be in Newark airport right now waiting on my connection to Fort L. I woke up this morning thinking I should be on the Edinburgh to Newark Continental CO 28. Ahhhhh......... Not banking on a snow storm I could forsee a snow plough being highjacked by the Ganggreen. Next year or bust guys. I keep saying that......
Tell you what, Scotty, if you had arrived in Newark and got stuck there, I would have offered to let you drive down with us. We'd be over the Virginia/North Carolina line by now, looking for a place to whet our whistles and spend the night.
You would be stuck in traffic and snow here in VA too. We're about to get dumped on for 24-30". I hear ya though, I would've been in Miami right now half drunk on the beach pissing off fish fans.
I would be in a state of bliss, praying that if I slept early enough, it would be Sunday already. Do you understand how CRAZY NYC would have been all week!? Ugh, I want to experience the feeling!
