D'Brick,Kendall or if realesed Goodwin,Maiwe, moore, jones if that doenst seem right just put what you think the line up sould be
LT - Adrian Jones LG - Nick Mangold OC - Kevin Mawae RG - Brandan Moore RT - Marcus McNeil/Eric Winston/Winston Justice
I think Jones, Kendall, Mawae, and Moore will all be back and start. So we have to find someone at RT. Troy Reddick in the 3rd/4th round maybe?
this would be awsome im assuming it ethier ment we traded down. or draft culter at 4 and draft the RT wit the abe pick and mangold in rd 2
LT - Ferguson LG - Jones OC - Mawae RG - Moore RT - Whitworth By no means is this what I want it to be, but I have a feeling that we'll take Ferguson if we don't trade down.
hmmm- I'm impressed- I usually scream at other peoples Ideas, but this looks pretty good. Maybe substitute Jean Gilles for Man-Dick if we had to- but with Cutler, McNeil, and Man-Dick, thats pretty nice. I'd take that for our first two rounds all day.
I would say: LT-Adrian Jones LG-Pete Kendall C- Kevin Mawae RG-Brandon Moore RT-Tom Ashworth, backed up and eventually taking over the starting job is Eric Winston, Ryan O'Callaghan or possibly Jonathan Scott
Actually neither. I am starting to accept the Cutler idea as the Chad deadline approaches (friday?) but honestly I would prefer Mario Williams, Haloti Ngata and with a slight trade down, Vernon Davis or DeAngelo Williams.
Yeah this would give us some versatilityin what we do with #4 (QB, DE, NT, etc.). Assuming a trade for Abe to around pick #25, I would draft best available between the 3 RTs listed and hope to snag Mangold in the second. Actually to slightly revise my projections: LT - A. Jones LG - N. Mangold/P. Kendall OC - K. Mawae/N. Mangold RG - B. Moore RT - M. McNeil/W. Justice/E. Winston In this case I think we can afford to cut Kendall or Mawae but not both and Mangold can step in for whoever we cut loose. Obviously, Fabini is already gone so the RT rookie will start immediately.
I prefer Mangold to Jean-Gilles for a few reasons. 1st - I think Center is more important than Guard. 2nd - I think Mangold is a better Center prospect than Jean Gilles is a Guard prospect. 3rd - I think it is slightly more likely Mangold will be there in the second. 4th - Mangold has a little more versatility in that we can hope he can play all 3 interior positions.
LT A. Jones LG Rob Simms C Mawae/ Eslinger RG Moore RT Scott or Winston Just a prediction. The Jets will take 3 OL on the first day assuming they have a couple of extra picks (Abraham trade?). I say Eslinger over Mangold because Mangold will be off the board. This year is very OL deep and being the weakest position on the team, the Jets take advantage. This is how you start to build a solid team for the long haul....
By the way none of those OL will be taken with the # 4 pick. My feeling is the Jets want Cutler but if he is off the board, the Jets may trade down or get an offer to trade down 3 - 5 spots....and they may have the DL in mind (Ngata?)
I guess I feel a little different than everyone I really feel Kendall is Gone and Mawae is on his way out as well. So therefore I look to a draft and FA like this to shore up the line. Assuming a late first for Abe. LT - Adrian Jones He stays there it is his natural position and he showed last year that he will turn into a pretty good LT. LG - Max Jean Gilles I really feel with the later round pick from the Abe deal we will be able to get a player of his caliber at that point maybe even try to trade down a few more spots if possible. C - Nick Mangold I really feel that we have to get him with our 2nd round pick and if he isnt around there then I can see moving up a few spots using a later round pick since we will get some comp picks. RG - Brandon Moore Has been playing solid in the RG position and is very young. RT - Tom Ashworth He will solidify our problems on the right side is young as well and hasnt shown his true potential just yet. I feel a line like that within two years time will be very solid and will gel together nicely. Take Cutler with our #4 and draft a RB next year Just my two cents
mc, I think you and me are thinking along the same lines. I'm assuming the Jets have a late first also. I think they will take Cutler at # 4 if he is still on the board. If he's not what do you think they do with that pick?
