What was promising about the win - Chiefs edition 1. Great timing in calling screen and use of backs out of the backfield (Moore's influence 2. Defense stifles a team rather than give it life 3. Nothing negative to detract from the victory
I was bored by halftime. I had to watch the second half on the DirecTV 8 screen GameMix channel. Yawn.
Sanchez played great. Defense dominated on 3rd downs. Kerley stepped up on punt returns. Great win in all phases.
Clearly Leonhard's injury is the only negative. Otherwise the team played well in all facets of the game.
I was very impressed with Greene. He was doing a great job catching the ball and doing something with it after the catch.
I think what we take away from this is they blew a team away that they should have blown away. No letting a bad team stick around like they did in the Denver game.
Oh I just remembered this. Sione Pouha is starting to look like Kris Jenkins out there. Noticed he's been getting more of a pass rush in on top of stuffing the run. He's improving!
the run game, sanchez (dont really care much about his "bad" completion %), defense through out the game, special teams not screwing up great win...on to the eagles!
I don't know if that is meant to sound sarcastic, but without being sarcastic it probably is the big take away. They had their opponent put away before the end of the first half. Best game overall in a long time. I agree that the only real negative is Leonhard hurt, and there were a couple of shaky plays by Hunter and one by Ferguson, but rather than go over the whole list, imo the highlights of positives were: Sanchez. best game of the season. Pouha. Another awesome game, even with DeVito out, Pouha was a huge force disrupting so much of what KC tried to do. Revis may be the team's best player, and Harris has his fans, but to me Pouha may be the second best player on D. Pace. Another great game, getting in there on Qb pressures and getting half a sack. Remember the Jets need to keep this guy as they look to get more speed at linebacker in the coming off season. Greene. This guy has been a major worry for big chunks of this season, but he had a great game yesterday, and even looked smooth in the passing game. He has to stay healthy for the Jets to continue their run. The entire CS. With one quibble here and that is I hope the coaches do not have the special teams players more afraid of errors than of wanting to succeed, the coaching staff seemed flawless. Ryan in particular deserves credit for getting the team to win three straight after those depressing losses to NE and Denver.
Good game yesterday, but Jets need to do something about Wayne Hunter or he's gonna get Sanchez killed one of these games
We dominated a very poor team run by a College QB quality QB who isn't the best college QB in the NFL. Hopefully this well executed scrimage on both sides of the ball will translate the next three weeks.
well i missed most of the game but i need to see this type of effort with similar results against the eagles and giants....... not saying blow outs but i need solid W's before i can get pumped for january football.
Overall just a great win. First time this season that they completely dominated the opponent and left no chance of a comeback (Edit: The Jax game was sealed up pretty early but not quite as dominating as this one). The screen game was utilized really well to beat pressure (finally!). Greene for 100+ kept the offense rolling all day. The whole D shut em down. No ST mishaps!
Also, in rewatching the game, the Back Shoulder fade is starting to make an appearance. He tried 3 times to make it worth with Plaxico. Once they get the timing down, that should be nice.
Pros: Sanchez has a great game Defense dominates and Pouha shines Very few drops Running game takes off Cons: Jimmy's injury Pass protection shaky at times
