It's been a while since I have posted here just thought I'd throw out my two cents... I believe that while Mangini is doing a great job our success and failure starts and stops with Pennington. I live in CA and I always get a hard time when the Jets are down (which has been a lot over the last 20 years). I have said the same thing to start the season the last 4 years... if Pennington plays the Jets will make the playoffs if not we won't win 6 games. Obviously Chad doesn't get the accolades of the Brady's and Manning's of the world, but he means more to the Jets then any other player in the league means to their team. Anyway I am pretty pumped about the season thus far and it's awesome to not have 8 offesive possessions a game of 3 runs up the middle then punt.
You just never know how those QB's that dont get to play till crunch-time will do...Its always the possibility of a new star, like the understudy filling the lead role suddenly rocketing to stardom, But basically...I agree...Ya gotta love Chad....his RedZone numbers make my knees weak
I hope Clemens is watching and learning how things are done. How to put touch on the ball, how to have a quick release....how to see the receivers running routes before they do it, etc. etc.
