With Cleveland having doubts about taking Myles Garrett and wanting to take a QB (Trubinsky). Well, thanks to the Jets they can have both. Take Garrett #1 and then trade for the Jets #6 pick. It will only cost you #12 and #33 and a 4th. The Jets get more ammo. Can take either John Ross or Mike Williams, take a CB at the top of 2nd, RB/Edge @39.

If that scenario presents itself it'd be foolish not to do.

Basically gaining another first round pick and receive our 4th rounder back to move down 6 spots. Howard, Foster, Williams someone nasty could be there still at 12.

Definitely trade down if the option presents.

No interest in Ross. We need someone more along the lines of Corey Davis. Adding Ross would only hinder the development of Anderson and Peake. If we could trade down, get Foster, lose Harris and his contract off the books, and grab 2 extra picks, we'd be looking good. Better yet let Cleveland keep the 4th, throw in Richardson and take a 2018 second instead

A trade down with the Browns is extremely unlikely at best. Browns will either want to get ahead of the Jets for Trubisky or not have to worry about him going before 10 the earliest. So Browns will try to trade into top 5 if they fear Jets taking him or trade ahead of Bills or stay put and have him fall into laps at 12.

I just can't see any scenario in which Browns would trade to 6.

Jets are taking Trubinsky. The Brown have t worry about soeone trading with the Jets to take him. If the Jets are looking QB Watson is the better choice.

The Browns best play is to trade up with the Jets before the draft. That removes a competitor for the QB at 6 and allows them to take Garret at 1 without worrying both QB's will go after that and before 12.

    Trade the #6 pick in exchange for #12, #33, a 4th (with a guarantee Maccagnan doesn't draft a QB)? . . in a minute.

We still need a QB and I think they should take one somewhere in this draft.

And have THREE developmental QBs in training camp, neither of whom will get enough reps?

First find out once and for all what they have in Hackenberg and Petty, THEN go for a QB if need be from the better 2018 QB class.

I'm a one-note parrot from now until the 2018 draft: enough of the 9-7, 8-8, 6-10 and 5-11 seasons: fold for darnold. 2017 imo doesn't hold the answer. Take your lumps short term and focus on building up the roster in preparation for the Messiah :D

trade down, no QB this year, I'm all on board for that plan!!! How does this sound???

Trubisky falls to 6, Houston needs a QB badly, offer them the 6 for their 25th pick and next year's 1st.

Take an offensive lineman at 25, drink a beer because you deserve it for making a great plan, and go in 2018 with 2 1st rounders

I like Darnold too but the Jets are inept and expecting them to tank enough to get him is funny. They will mess that up too. They will win just enough to be in the 5-8 range in next years draft.

No Bowles is too stupid to figure out coaching

    Plus the schedule is murder

Plus the vet OB we brought in is 2-22 as starter

Very hopeful we tank like Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

    (figures crossed none the less)

Better proposed trade with Cleveland would be #6 and Richardson & Pryor plus our 7th, in return for #12, #33, 2017 6th & one of their 2018 1st. Not going to be receiving any comp picks anyways for Richardson or Pryor because we'll end being very active in next year's free agency market. So may as well parlay both of them into a future 1st to use as potential trade bait for Darnold, Rosen, or Allen, or use it to fortify ourselves with someone like McGlinchey or Harold Landry or Derwin James plus one of the QB's if we're picking high enough

IMO, Browns will not make any trades til come draft day. They need to know who will be there at 6 before committing. The rumors are flying that the Bills are trying to get to the 5 spot to get Trubisky - who knows? But if the QB is there at 6, Jets will have their phone ringing off the hook. I don't expect them to hand the card to the commissioner till the clock has nearly run it's course.

Unless Garrett or Fournette are still there at 6, they should trade back with Cleveland.

Then at 12, take McCaffrey RB; at 33 take Mahomes QB; at 39 take Charlton Edge; at 70 take Davenport OT; at 107 Desmond King S; at 150 Witherspoon CB; at 191 Sprinkle TE; at 224 James Conner RB.

I'd still trade back even if Fournette is there. Rather get extra picks than 1 RB. 12 I take Harris OLB, 33 I take King CB, 70 I take Marcus Williams or Marcus Maye FS, 107 I take Kimble TE, 150 I'll take Witherspoon CB, 191 Best available OL, 224 Conner RB

The Jets need to pull the same thing the Chargers did when they selected Eli. I want Trubisky, but even if the FO doesn't, we need to pick him at #6. Every Browns fan wants Mr. Ohio and if we draft him the Browns would have to pay a King's ransom. If they don't we get a QB of the future. Either way I'm happy.

Trubinsky is not that good. One year of starting the bum we drafted last year had at least 3 years starting. I would let the Browns have him.
