its as if all his passes are being dropped. He seems to be putting them in the right spot. also what ever happened to stucky?

Well, a few passes have been dropped, the batted down passes and tripping are his own fault.

Clemens has a lot of passes dropped. He did last year too. Some of that has to be on him because random chance would be highly unlikely to work against him for that period of time.

His receivers are obviously trying and some of them, Brad Smith in particular, are risking their NFL careers with the number of drops they have when he throws the ball.

I didn't want either starting this year. I knew what to expect.

    I'm a Brett fan.

Brad Smith stinks, the guy can't catch a cold. Just release him and play Stucky and Clowney

clemens had 3 very good throws dropped in critical moments...who knows what he ould have shown or done for the team if those drives were sustained..

where was stucky?....clowney has that burst that you traditionally havent seen from jets receivers.

Clemens looks really nervous outthere...he needs to regulate the speed on his throws better....

    Go Ratty!

Clemens looked like a fumbling, bumbling rookie out there. And he's a third year guy. The guy really has to step it up.

He had at least 4 drops and the two trip-ups were almost definitely the center stepping on his feet. You can't really blame him for that. The batted passes are a different story. Also, it's true that Brad Smith can't catch.

    ... because you're a dick?

I'm almost positive Clemens wasn't assisted in those trip ups. I focused on his feet in the replay to see if anyone stepped on him but didn't see that. I saw him tripping over his own feet. Maybe he got stepped on before he pulled away from center and I wasn't able to see it.

It's the QB's job to set up correctly. That means it's his responsibility to keep his feet clear. Besides he's played with these OL for 2+ seasons. He should know them by now.

    No excuse.

Debatable. But I didn't like either to start for the team when the QB competition was in full swing. I was the guy jokingly saying "I root for Brett Ratliff." Now I'm almost correct in doing so.

But since I can see you're a huge Clemens supporter, I get why you don't like the fact I have no confidence in either of them.

    Carry on.

I don't think he was getting tripped up until they took Mangold out.. it's not like he's had a problem with that before. It was hard to tell from those angles you're right.

I'm a huge Clemens supporter only because I have yet to lose faith in him. I just think hatred towards the guy is pretty harsh.

Ok then allow me to rephrase - See why I had absolutely no confidence in the other two?

I was a Clemens guy after his 1st preseason when he was running the no huddle. He took command, he was strong and ready to go in 06. But I haven't seen that since and no progression as well. Its disappointing. He'll be a backup for life if he continues.
