What player (not on the Jets) will you root for to make a comeback year?

Every year many players with medium-to-high expectations disappoint their teams... sometimes they make good comebacks and sometimes they get run out of the league.

What player, who has up to now disappointed (either for a season or for several seasons), will you root for in 2010? Players who have been out a lot with injuries count too (like Javon Walker).

I'll root for Alex Smith of the 49ers.
Out of all the teams in the NFC the 49ers (along with the Lions) are my favorite and I like this whole new Singletary regime. In addition to that I think Smith, as a person, is a good guy.

There are a million reasons why he didn't succeed straight away (came out as a system QB, changed OC every year, wasn't up to NFL speed, ecc) but I think with the team he has around him, the time he's had in the NFL (both for his mental speed and for his physical conditioning) and being that he'll get the 2nd full year under the same OC this is his time to shine.

He has the talent to be a top 15-20 QB IMO and I really really hope he proves it this year... so go Smith!

PS PLEASE CHANGE "MAKE" WITH "HAVE" IN THE TITLE :D Thanks mods!

Tavaras Jackson. Because if he is starting in Minny it means Farve is not.

I'd like to see Devin Thomas do something. I thought for sure he was our guy when we traded back up into the first. (Not that I'm complaining).

Maybe McNabb can get something out of him.

    Seriously?

I think it'd be funny to see Jake Delhomme do well in Cleveland. They're still going to suck, but it'd be nice to see them upset Baltimore, Cincy, and Pittsburgh.

...and David Carr in San Francisco.

    Jason Campbell.

Also it would be funny if Ted Ginn Jr. lit it up after leaving Miami, but that will never happen.

    80+ receptions with 1000+ yds isn't really a bad 2009!

    Jason Campbell.

You try learning a new offense every year. His numbers have improved every year too.

L-Wash too. I bought a Jersey when he left to honor his time here. Only cost 50 bucks. Always buy a jersey when players leave. They are much cheaper.

Besides the obvious leon, I'd go with Al Harris.

He's old and not expected to be as good (especially by me) and coming off a major injury. If he comes back and plays the #2 CB spot solid and stays healthy it will be the most important part of the GB d.

Washington and Campbell do stand out the most. I still have a lot of respect of Washington, his departure did not end on a positive note but still I wish him the best

Adam Jones. He seems Like a stand up guy who deserves a seventh chance.
