D-Rob to RE in the off-season and cut kimo cause he has done nothing and put Moore at are starting NT. I think Moore has starting material. He is big and can be a 2 gap player and is a Run Stopping NT and if you compare the Running yards when moore is in for robertson and when D-rob is in you can completely tell that Moore is much better against the run. Also if we make him are starting NT we wouldnt have to waste a high draft pick for one or trade for one. also what if we moved Vilma to LOLB and Hobson to LILB i think that would work great because Vilma could rome freely as a OLB and Hobson has the size to take on blockers. keep Barton at RILB and keep Thomas at ROLB and keep Ellis at LE and i think we could be a much better defense if this happend. Is there any chance this can happen??
Depends on who they sign as FA or draft for DL. I could not agree with you more about switching Vilma and Hobson,,,,I could never understand that....
The Jet's run D stiffens in those 3 plays though. Who do you think was at the nose on those 4th quarter drives when the Browns reverted to being a bad running team? Go look at the video tape as Warner Wolf used to say...
Regardless if Kimo has done nothing or not, the D-Line has barely any depth as it is, with Pouha and Alailefaleula on the IR.
Even with Drob at RE, i dont think he can still Penetrate and put pressure on ... ..... um .... the QB
I could see Moore as our backup DT but we really need to draft a starter on day one of the draft unless we can land a veteran. D-Rob and Ellis may work at DE if we have the right DT.
regardless if they move DRob to the DE...Moore is not the answer for the middle...why settle for mediocrity? lets upgrade that position, im tired of having a bunch of so so starters playing
it might just work.. but we need a NT..this would probably improve our run defense.. but withoyut speed olbss were i pass rush coming from.
Robertson is fine at defensive end, because he doesn't need the quickness off the ball like he does at nose tackle. Our line was primarily Ellis-Moore-Robertson, and when the coaching staff wanted to get to Frye they could. It's the "Don't give up the big play" mentality that lets teams eat away at us on the ground, and in the underneath passing game until we actually start to blitz.
D-Rob sucks in a 3-4, he doesn't have the technique or discipline to stay in his gap. Kimo may not have the physical tools to dominate left tackles, but his technique is as good as any 3-4 end in football. Rashad Moore has the size and body type that you would look for in a nose tackle, but from what i've seen he plays to up right and opposing teams interior lineman are able to get under him and move him easily. That's something he needs to improve on, I do not think he's a starting NT who is going to play on first and second downs all game. But with a lot of work from the coaching staff he should get better. Vilma is way to small to play OlB in a 3-4, he would get swallowed up by tackles all day. In passing situations I would put himself becuase his speed would be an asset but on first and second downs he would be horrible outside. With a good NT he would be able to flow to the ball like in a 4-3.
