1. Miami Dolphins-Vernon Gholston OLB 2. St.Louis Rams- Jake Long OT 3. Atlanta Falcons- Glenn Dorsey DT 4. Oakland Raiders- Darren McFadden RB 5. Kansas City Chiefs- Chris Long DE Honestly i wouldnt be mad , unless we couldnt trade out i mean. There will be alot of teams calling us to trade out so that so one of them can pick up Matt Ryan or Sedrick Ellis or maybe even Derrick Harvey before the Pats pick him up.
Just do the best available trade down, whatever it is (I'd try to entice the Ravens or Panthers to move up for Ryan) and try to pick up an extra 2nd. If I HAD to take somebody there, I think it would be McKlevin, or maybe Mendenhall.
I think we'd be getting an overwhelming # of calls for Matt Ryan..in which case we'd be trading down.
trade down and pick up keith rivers!!!! secure up those lbs.... LBS are the most important when it comes to the 3-4 defense rivers harris pace and bt would be damn sexy, assuming bryan thomas can step his game up
If the chips fall that way, and the JETS can't find a buyer for the #6 pick, that would be a shitty scenario. Personally I don't see Gholston being drafted #1...... no way, but :shit: also, after the Mike Vick fiasco and trading away Schaub beforehand, I can't see Atlanta not taking Matt Ryan, even from a public relations standpoint. (VERY fickle fans in Atlanta) so they'll want to turn things around.....
Well – the draft starts Saturday at 3 on ESPN. I figure when we actually use that sixth pick at around 9PM…all of our questions will be answered.
If that is the case, I think the Raiders would take Chris Long ahead of McFadden. But if the mock you put up happens, I would try to trade down or take Rivers.
In this situation which I think is possible, not likely but possible it will really depend on how we feel about Ryan. If the FO thinks he can be a franchise QB then it is an easy decision, they draft him and solve the biggest question mark on the team. If they don't think he is a franchise guy then they have to try to find a team that does and is willing to give up some picks to get him. Otherwise I think the Jets will shock everyone and take Stewart at 6 if they can't find a trade partner and are not convinced about Ryan.
I would hope so but keep in mind that QBs have lately been projected much higher than they actually go. Leinart and Quinn sat there for much longer than predicted - Matt Ryan could be the same deal. If no one wants our spot, I'd be happy going with a CB or even making the ballsy move and taking Ryan ourselves.
because 3rd round is now on day 2 and the first round has been reduced from 15 mins a pick to 10 mins
