Since the NFL came to an agreement we now have some extra money in our cap space. Does this mean we are likely to take Cutler more now since we have extra money to spend on a high price 1st rd QB? We have already stated we wont be spending money on veterans so this is looking like a possibility. It reminds of the San Diego situation a few years back. With Brees being decent equivialent to Penningtons inability to stay healthy and the Chargers drafted Rivers. Now if we have a situation like SD where all the sudden Chad comes back better then ever and we still have Cutler, I wouldnt be to upset. What do you guys think?

I doubt it, since we are going to have the same high price 1st round pick whether it is Cutler or not, so that doesn't make it more likely Cutler is the selection.

Would Cutler be more expensive then say D-Brick or LenDale White though. I dont know how 1st rd picks get paid. Sorry do they all get paid the same price or is it still negotiable?

It gives us room to try to get lecharles bentley. And one of the FA tackles.

I think it helps the Jets in 2 ways:

    1. More teams will have the finances to potentially make a run at Abraham.

    2. Before the new CBA, a tight salary cap situation made it harder for a team (lets say the Bills) to trade their 1st and 2nd round picks to move up in the draft.
