Not just as a coach/Scheme but his PC, off the field, his demeanor etc...

The reason I ask is because I just saw a PC and the way he spoke to the media was pretty impressive.

Just wanted to get a gauge of what other people think of him...

He's a prescient genius or a gambling fool. His moves are bold or reckless. He's going to win a Super Bowl in a year or two or be out of the NFL in three.

It's just going to take time to see what's what.

The QB play this year is probably the biggest determiner of how he finishes in Philly. If the guys have their typical seasons he's in trouble. If one of them comes through for him he's got a shot.

He's in the only market in the world that's worse than NYC if you hit the wall.

I personally like him. I think he's great for the game and I hope he has success. But I also recognize he is one crazy ass dude

The Off Season moves he made were completely schizoid, so who knows.

The Eagles still have a good team and I think they make the playoffs.

If the Jets beat them it would be a statement.

I think Chip is a cool HC, but i also think his ego is too big for his own good. I Also think he needs to change his philosophy. His "system" never won a championship in college and i doubt it will win in the NFL. It's too fast paced, terrible strategy. The whole score in 2 minutes shit...just doesn't seem like it'll ever be a winning formula. You gotta manage the game out not try and score as fast as you can every possession... this isn't madden. If he slows his roll on O and gets his guys to play good D i think they can give the Cowboys a serious run for 1st place... again.

He has nothing to lose because he can crawl back to college whenever he wants. As Brad said he's either going to look like a genius or a failure. He trusts his system perhaps too much for his own good sometimes.

We'll see if he turns shit into gold. They did gear up on defense to combat offensive struggles if it does happen. The Kiko trade is a bit perplexing because you have to think they could've gotten more if they shopped him longer. They at least should've gotten a draft pick with Alonso.

Kelly is one of those college coaches that shows up in the NFL thinking he's already smarter than everyone in the league. His system works better in the NFL than a Spurrier but not nearly as well as a pro system like Harbaugh and those are the two coaches I would compare him to because they both had the same arrogant approach to the professional game. I think his tenure will compare closer to Spurrier than Harbaugh but just like both of them he will end up back in the college ranks for a lot more money after the experiment blows up in his face in a year or two

I fail to see how a philosophy of scoring points as much as possible is a "terrible" one. Especially since the team with the most points at the end of the game is usually deemed the victors

He is a good coach but going by what he did this offseason, I don't think he is a good GM. I would love to see him successful though. He seems like a decent person.

I know it sounds crazy but it's true. At least when your defense was as bad as the eagles were in Chips first 2 years. The thing is.. you're not going to realistically score in 2 minutes every drive and by attempting to do so when you fail which is more times than not you're putting your shitty defense back on the field for another long sequence of time. Dallas had the same problem when they were letting Romo sling it around all game every game until they found balance and started managing the clock. They constantly kept a bad defense on the field and the other teams were eating them alive while eating the clock alive. Yeah you'll beat weaker defensive teams but vs a top defense it's just not smart to play that way. That's just my view.

If the Jets had hired him, he'd probably be coaching the Florida Gators this year

xs and os he is brilliant, football philosophy he is brilliant.

ive read a couple of pieces on him and his offense which also got into his thought process and think its absolutely fantastic.

what i have seen out of him in the personell department the past few months makes me scratch my head. but i dont really care too much about that or what happens in philly. i actually hope to see him back in college and would love to see him coaching my favorite college team.
