judging from the posts and mock drafts all over the board....i think most people like the idea of taking a cb in the 2nd rd...w/ wright and wilson heading the list
It's in my sig, I love both of these guys. If Wright really has turned himself around like a few articles I've seen have said, I could definitely see us grabbing him if he's there. Josh Wilson's athleticism and smarts will also help him to be a solid #2 at the next level as well IMO.
Although Eric Wright has been red-flagged for off the field issues, I think that he has shown sufficient inprovements in that area to justify a 2nd round gamble on him. He is a 1st rd. talent with good size and speed. If he didn't screw up in Vegas after transferring there from USC, chances are he's learned his lesson. Plus Carroll and some of the USC players have had some positive things to say about him even after leaving the Trojans for UNLV. I like Josh Wilson but I would prefere to see Daymeion Hughes. Hughes just has a knack of making the plays even if he has been classified as being too slow for the position. He reminds me a lot of Everson Walls.
Love Wilson, but not Wright, Wilson has great speed and I see him in the same mold as Fabian Washington
136 Ecstasy pills and rape accusations shows me that this guy is a bit too easily distracted. What the hell are you doing with over 100 ecstasy pills in your room when you're at USC, two years away from being a first round pick? Wright's adamant proclamations concerning the quality of his character is not something I'm buying. I'd like to see a little more remorse and regret. He seems a little standoffish about the whole thing. -X-
