What do you guys expect from Corey Davis this year? Will he thrive with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football? Will he be able to stay healthy for once in his Jets career? Will he suffer from dropped balls like he has so far? I think this will be his best year as a Jet. He has a lot of talent and I think he will have a great season with a) Rodgers throwing him the ball and b) Wilson drawing double coverage and freeing up. As long as he can stay on the field I see good things coming from CD.
I think Davis, and Lazard will alternate having big days in this new offense. Neither will be as good as garret wilson tho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He became our defacto #1 when we signed him a couple of years ago and that set the bar too high for him IMO. With GW's emergence, he can now be our 2nd/3rd option in the passing game with Lazard. Defenses will probably be focusing on GW this year so it SHOULD open up more opportunities for both CD and Lazard. Most important thing for him though is to stay healthy. If he can stay healthy, I could absolutely see a 600-700+ yard and 5-6 TD season for CD.
For me a 600-700 yard performance would be a disappointment. I want Rodgers to pass for 4000 and that means Davis needs at least 900 for that to happen. Fingers crossed
I guess we just have different expectations then which is totally fine. I feel like 600-700 yards from your 2nd/3rd option is pretty solid because I'm also expecting Lazard's production to be similar. Rodgers' most recent MVP season he only had 1 player go over 1000 yards receiving (Davante, 1553) and then he had 8 guys go for 200-500 yards. While I'm not quite ready to predict 1500+ yards for GW this year, I think his yardage total will be closer to that than it was this last year. I see a pretty easy path to 4000+ yards for Rodgers where our 2nd receiver *only* gets 650-700 yards. GW: 1300 CD: 650 Lazard: 650 Breece/MC/Bam (total combined): 600 Conk: 400 Hardman/Cobb/WR6 (total combined): 300 Uzomah/Ruckert: 250 That's already 4150 yards and I think I might be a little low on a few of those estimates.
You make a great point! I just think Davis will have a great year because Wilson will attract a lot of attention and Rodgers is infinity better than Zach was the last two years. Either way I will take it
not really. wilson will be good for 1200-1400 if healthy. RBs should get around 600-800 combined. same with the TEs. that is 2400 to 3000 right there leaving 1000-1600 between lazard, davis, and hardman. 700 for lazard, davis each is 1400 and leaves 200 for hardman and others to pass the 4k mark
No one's going to mistake our WR corps for the Bengals, Dolphins, or Eagles but it's nice to feel good about the talent we have at our skill positions for a change. For selfish reasons, I still wish they'd gone after DHop, but oh well.
I mean bengals have chase and higgins and boyd then jags, eagles have brown and smith and jags, fins have waddle and hill and jags. wilson is as good as anyone, and we have davis and lazard and jags. plus breece who is a top 3 RB at worst
G. Wilson is going to be a superstar in the league. Even with bad QB play and the other team knowing he was the Jets only threat, he out up great numbers. With a HOF QB and the other skill players we have, he should be lights out. I'm excited to see what kind of season he has.
I think we’ll get some good pop outta him. Better/more weapons that should give him more favorable matchups , better QB and a contract year.
I think you're under selling Hardman. He was getting 600 yds in KC even with with Kelce and Hill getting the lions share. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets close to 800-900 yds.
