We need to draft/acquire a big body receiver that can actually be a deep threat and of course address our line.

LT will probably come back for vet minimum if he doesn't retire.

I hope to play more golf, and read the draft forum.

Jets HAVE to resign LT, way too many other needs.

Because we desperately need in order

    1) A new RT
    2) More Oline Depth
    3) Replace Schotty
    4) Get at LEAST 1 more TE (and cut/kill Mulligan), more than 1 if Cumberland doesnt rehab well
    5) At LEAST 1 more Safety
    6) At least 1 OLB
    7) At least 1 WR

Trade for Aaron Rodgers. Trade for Adrian Peterson. Sign Dwayne Bowe and Vincent Jackson. Sign Ed Reed. Assassinate Tom Brady. Draft Andrew Luck

Agree with this 100%. Except for the assassination part. I think it would be just plain old murder.

I think we need to see how the rest of this season plays out before we start evaluating our roster for the offseason.

Best free agent safties would seem to be:

    LaRon Landry (Washington)
    Michael Griffin (Titans)
    Tyvon Branch (Raiders)
    Chris Hope (Titans)
    Jim Leonhard (Jets)

The niners have too many safties on their books and so may be likely to release/trade one

I still think on the subject of Braylon being brought back, that there's a lot too the fact that they saw Sanchez and Bray were becoming close and they didn't want Sanchez to be negatively affected by a prima-donna wideout. It's common knowledge they were at Mur Mur all the time getting shitfaced. I also have it on good authority that Woody was INCENSED with the DUI and that was the beginning of the end of Braylon in a Jets uniform.

Having said that, I really do hope if there's a possibility of a reunion that cooler heads prevail. This city was perfect for Braylon and he was the perfect fit for this team. I still regard him as a more complete (not necessarily better) wideout then Holmes, and I maintain the Jets hadn't had a receiver that could block down the field that well since #19.

sign a playmaker at safety someone that just doesn't "hit hard" but can make plays at the ball, as well as cover etc.

we need a quality running back and demote greene to 3rd down/goal line duties

we need a young veteran receiver (maybe bring back braylon)

we need some speed at the LB positions (hopefully maybin develops and becomes a starter)

we need to get rid of slausen and hunter, especially hunter

One thing that must be addressed no matter what happens the rest of the year is an upgrade at safety -an athletic playmaker that can tackle would be an immense addition to this defense.

Fire Schotty, hopefully build through the draft and sign some key FA (one of the safeties named above and a blocking TE are critical)

Put 16 pairs on insoles in Sanchez's shoes and get him used to the extra 2" in height and playing with a large shoe....the amount of times this kid has thrown balls off of heads and hands at the line of scrimmage is ridiculous, I actually believe he may be on pace with a record of some sort

Greene can not be and never will be either of those two. He cant catch for shit, as evident in the NE game (3 drops?), and he has below average vision so goal line is not ideal for him- that would be why we signed LT

Plus McKnight is without question our future 3rd down back

And Slausen has been capable... I would say replacing, or finding a replacement, for a RG who's on the wrong side of 30 and is on the decline is more important than replacing a serviceable LG
