Maybe a third for Sam. I saw a tweet the other day that a player returning from mono is basically a walking corpse and has zero chance of becoming a FQB
I disagree. Darnold is back in the locker room and he still can not play. How a guy who is faking an illness will be allowed on this sideline is beyond me. He needs to go. Adams just hits people too hard so he's a liability for us. Mosley is like Darnold, faking an injury on the sideline. He wasn't even wincing in pain! He's gotta go. Crowder caught a bunch of passes in week 1 but now he is useless because he is not making our franchise QB, Luke Falk, look as good as he really is. And Bell? Averaging the worst yardage in his career and is clearly not the same person we thought he was.
Better question is what kind of haul they can get for Sam Ficken? Dude has 1,000% make rate, deal him now while his value is at an all-time high...
Why is your scenario any different than mine? If they are on our roster, they are available for trade. Correct?
If you want to engage I will. My goal is to see what we have in Sam. Having a 50 million dollar Rb is not a priority and not a Douglas signing. Douglas does not believe in that philosophy. Working for the Ravens , under perhaps one of the greatest drafters of all time(Ozzie newsome), the belief was to build through offensive and defensive lines. Our offensive line basically needs an almost total rebuild. I personally do not want to get Sam beat up like Andrew Luck was. While Adams is great, the greater need is to have a solid offensive line as well as adding more explosive offensive weapons. Bell has been very good, but there are no running lanes and limited passing lanes. Not to mention missed assignments.
And if your goal is to see what we have in Sam, then taking away a HOF running back and a HUGE weapon, is not the smart move. Of course we have to upgrade our offensive line and build in the trenches, but you can do that without giving up our best offensive weapon. There are SO many alternate routes you can go to get offensive lineman and build a formidable line.
Yes, the only way to see what we have In Sam is to take away his best offensive weapon. We have to take away his best offensive weapon to rebuild the OL. Which we can’t do at this point in the season, but we shouldn’t let that stop us from getting rid of our best offensive weapon. Because reasons. Stupid, moronic fucking reasons.
Best plan should be to trade Bell, Crowder, Mosley, Adams, and Herndon for offensive linemen. Darnold would be protected like never before. He can throw passes to himself. He'll have plenty of time with the world's best offensive line
Don't forget to throw Leo Williams and Gase in there. Fire all the coaches and tank for Tua, then rehire Bates as head coach.
