As a Jets fan, what are you know rooting for for the remainder of the season?

  1. To win as many games as possible.

    84.3%
  2. To lose and get the high draft pick.

    15.7%

Personally, I hope we win, because if we don't it would likely mean Clemens underperformed and is no longer a viable QB of the future. If we have a nice stretch run here, hopefully Clemens can gain some momentum going into next season and shows us he can be a good QB. It would be nice to get a Darren McFadden or other franchise-changing top player at the top of the draft, and to get ahead of the Pats in the draft, though. It would also stink to not make the playoffs yet only have a pick in the early teens.

    That is utter nonsense.
Clemens does not have much help right now. He's going to play much better in the future.
Like Clemens, Dan Fouts played at Oregon. Fouts played like crap for his first 3 years in the NFL.
As he was building up experience the team started to get better around him and he blossomed.

I hope the Jets win because Top-3 draft picks seem to be boom or bust types that can set teams back many years in cap space if they don't pan out. The further back a team goes in the draft, the less money they have to pay out, the less expectations are heaped on the draft pick, and the less public relations nightmare they have to deal with if the drafted player doesn't perform up to expectations.

Of course, I want them to win every game, but at this point I lose no sleep if they lose.

I'm with you.... There are usually plenty of good players that emerge out of the 1st day of the draft, and a few 2nd day sleepers.... Having a higher pick doesnt guarantee anything

I always root for the Jets to win. The thrill of any victory beats the thrill of whatever name is called when then Jets make their first draft pick in April.

I root for Wally Pipp. I root for our Tom Brady.

Somebody on the current roster or practice squad who's been undervalued or unrecognized by the current CS to emerge as a starter for 2008.

How about we get a look at Bender at RT?

What's the story with Adrien Murrells linebacker brother? Can we get a look at him, please?

Basically I'm just rooting for improved performance from their younger players, that are indicative of future potential. Wins and loses are inconsequential at this point in the season, aside from the Fins game of course ;)

This is a stupid poll, who would want the jets to lose?

Voted win, as that's all I want to see this team do right now. Worry about the draft in april. Plus the jets would screw up with a top 3 pick anyway.

more top 10 picks in this league have better careers than 6th or 7th rounders, thats what i know. you will spend more, but the potential of getting a true talent is greater than in any round under the first. i would never gripe or worry about having a high draft pick unless you have no faith in the staff.
