    It's funny, a couple of weeks prior to Denver doing this my buddy and I noted how the Jets kick return team completely disregarded any onsides kick try on returns and said someone would go after that.

    I can't bother to look it up, but this isn't the first time we've been surprised on-sides. In particular where our front line has all started running back to get in return position before the ball is kicked. Maybe all teams do that, but it seems to me this isn't the first time it's happened to us.

    So Westhoff takes responsibility for the onside kick but Cummings was cut as a result of it, thereby costing him something like $10,000 per game (he makes a lot less on the practice squad)? Not a very nice thing to do, is that?
