I gotta say this is absolutely not the way I'd have gone today and so I'm going to go hide for a few days and get the 72 hour rule out of the way.

We get a CB who can be a shutdown one and a LB who is probably the best Run Stopper in the draft.

But yeah we wont be really active for a long time.

    So... what happens to:

    1. the right side of the OL?
    2. DT?

I am not complaining about Revis pick overall, but my approach in the draft has always been, "Quantity over Quality" so...I am not happy with this draft at all, to say the very least.

    Well, I was hoping that:

    1. DT need is addressed
    2. Right side of the OL addressed
    3. Possible OLB (opposite Bryan Thomas) addressed

It looks like none of my wish is going to be granted through this draft...

I'm very, very disappointed with the way this draft was run. You can't go through a draft and only take 4 players, especially a team that needs as many players as the Jets. Bad management, and it will cost us down the line.

Yeah, we have two picks left, a 6th and 7th (tackling dummies)

    Our draft is complete

we could still trade players for mid round picks. might not be over yet. however, even if it is... we got two real GEMS. could be ALOT worse!

I don't mind these picks, I just hate the fact we are giving away all our picks to get them. Hopefully, we can recoup some picks by trading some guys we don't need.

I'm not sure about it being bad that we drafted 4 players. if we can get some sort of quality from the 6th and 7th round picks, I like the "potency" of the players we've drafted thus far, and hopefully we can get some quality depth tomorrow

We may pick more than four players still. Don't forget, we've been trying to unload McCareins, Barton, and Barrett. If traded for picks, those guys won't be traded until the team that wants them is on the clock and sees that there is no one they want.

The selections of Harris and Revis makes Barton & Barrett expendable, so we may be able to pick up a couple of fourths or fifths for those guys. I'm sure Tannenbaum had that in mind when he traded up again.

There is nobody I would want to trade for what will be left to draft..not even McCareins

You can rarely trade players for picks during the draft. You can trade them ahead of time but during the draft there is not enough time to do it.

justin mccareins is gonna be traded for a late draft pick, barrett possibly has the same fate.

dont get too worked up yet, especially since we got the best CB in the draft and a big ILB to help Vilma out.

6th and 7th round picks in this draft will be nothing more then tackling dummies

Barton, McCareins will be gone at some point. Not saying we're getting high draft picks in return if we get anything, but some picks may be recouped there. And if not, we have Posciak from last draft who didn't play because of injury in 2006, so there's your 5th round pick in 2007.

So, by my logic, we don't have a three and a four in this draft. And you could even argue that we used our 4 on Barlow and won the Pats game. So, as I see it, we don't have a three in 2007.

Sure, I'd love a bunch of picks, but having bodies for the sake of having bodies doesn't make 100% sense to me either.

He projects as an inside LB?..in the clips on him he looked like an ideal OLB

I basically agree with that point on just having bodies. Except sometimes you draft somebody you think is crap only to find out they are great. If you don't have a lot of bodies you don't have the chance of that happening.

Hopefully Revis and Harris are guys that can come in, play and make an impact right away. The Front Office is trying to win RIGHT NOW.

I think Harris here means Barton may be gone....
