I'm very unsatisfied but at the same time, I feel this team deserves time to gel. We gave Rex and Geno like 3 seasons. This team deserves at least a season. *shrugs*
I chose somewhat optimistic. Not sure what I'm optimistic for at this point. We're obviously not winning the SB this year. Maybe I'm optimistic that as I watch the rest of the games unfold, they will be somewhat enjoyable. Our team, especially the young players, will continue to get better. I'm optimistic we can win most of our remaining games, losing a just few close ones. Would love to see us grab a WC and play one more weekend before wrapping it up.
The burning question for me is simply....can we win 4 of the remaining 7? If so we might have a shot at a playoff spot. That would be icing on the cake. If you want ice cream and hot fudge on top then demolish the Bills at home.
5-4 we have had a winning record all season but its doom and gloom....weren't we 2-7 this time last year?
We haven't had a QB with over an 85 QB rating in 10 years... He isn't that great but damn, I wouldn't call him shitty. Better than we have had behind center in 10 years I'm so thankful lol.
indifferent. really had no expectations this year. if anything i am pleasantly surprised at the record to this point. mid november and we re still relevant. not too bad for a rookie coach and mediocre qb
Im optimistic about making the playoffs. A loss in Houston will change that. Im indifferent on the way the team is playing right now though. Still lots of winnable games coming up but truth be told every loss we've had this season was a winnable game..so not really sure that says much.
The losses this team has had were preventable. But losses have to happen. We haven't really beat any good teams. I predicted 8-8 at the start of the season. If we win twice the amount of games as last season it is a successful season. Anything less than 8-8 is a disappointment with us starting out 5-1.
This team is much better than I thought they would have been. Fitzpatrick has played better than I expected. Yeah last game was tough, but I still feel this team will probably make the playoffs because the schedule is very favorable. If they don't, oh well I wasn't expecting it when the season started anyways
Somewhat optimistic. We're not a dominant squad, we've got a few flaws. but I'm not about to count us out either. Loses happen, wins happen, lessons are learned, we've still got a helluva secondary and D-line, and an above average set of weapons (sans TE) for our QB to use, and... we're a wild-card contender. I'm feeling fine to be honest, I'm not ready to jump off a cliff or the Bowles bandwagon. That said, clearly we've got some work to do. I'm seeing a 9-7 finish at this rate, maybe even 10-6. we're either a wild card team or just out of the dance, depends largely on wether or not we beat our division rivals and how OAK does. Just need to get healthy again to play to our potential really... Gonna be a telling offseason, theres some starters who aren't gonna be back next year this rate. (Davis, Cro,Coples) Also I approve of the beard as our starter for the rest of our campaign, he's pretty solid and steady against pressure despite not being an all-pro.
Got sucked in early and thought we were gonna charge towards the WC. Yes, I should have known better, but I would have given up on this team decades ago if I didn't have hope. Anyway, losing to Rex and a very mediocre Bills team at home, while Rex was trying to give the game to us, made me realize the season was over. I think we lose to Rex again in Buffalo, the Cowboys in Dallas, the Patriots without a doubt, probably the Giants, and have a hiccup with one of the bad teams. We will probably end up with like seven wins and the season will not be so good. We spent a lot of money on free agents to not improve that much will be my guess.
I'm excited as hell to watch them every week. Which is a HUGE change. And yes, I love Fitzpatrick and everything he's done. Also, very excited about Petty's future
