Sweet pick. I've liked him and been on him since my JI days...

I've said it before but I think this guy has the potential to be the Tom Brady of this draft. That doesn't mean future HOF, I mean he's my favorite bet as a late round QB to be somebody.

So far I like 3 of our 4 picks...

Would have liked Goff there, but whatever.

Where's lookingforware? Pretty sure he had a hard on for Ainge...

  11. Every year. Every god damn year we shun line depth late in the draft. Why the HELL is that?

good round 5 selection I think. It was suprising that he was still available and should provide sufficent depth with Clemens and Pennington. He's not the greatest athlete, but he's cerebral and battle-tested from years in the SEC.

I think its the Eagles GM who is a big proponent of drafting a QB at some point every year, heck ya never know.

I'm upset that we still haven't addressed the OL, but Erik Ainge is about as big of a steal as you're going to find at the 162nd pick...

What this pick tells me is that Kellen Clemens has this year to prove his worth, period. If Clemens doesn't show enough in 2008, we've got a young QB, with great size and great potential waiting in the wings....

    EDIT

Also, Ainge seems to have strengths that are almost the polar opposite of Clemens. Great size, only decent arm strength, great pocket awareness.

I just get nervous around these parts when QB becomes a topic.

Ehh. I never cared for this guy. Inaccurate, career backup type of player. He is not tough.

We get a 6'5 1/2 guy with great skills this late and you'd rather have Goff?
