    Could have a lot of upside. He had a great year last year. Bad combine dropped him.

    I’ll say it again in here. This guy is the opposite of a workout warrior. Nice change to draft someone based off of game tape.

    I personally would have went OL or WR over Polite, but I'm not entirely mad. We need the edge help and pre-Combine he was viewed as a R1 talent.

    Jets had him as 2nd best pass rusher in draft, per Rapaport.

    Still hate Macc's lack of focus on the OL. Polite actually had an excellent year, but had a terrible 40 and terrible vertical at the combine. Then, he hurt his hamstring at his pro day (although maybe he hurt it earlier, explaining the poor performance at the combine). If any players really do have chips on their shoulders he will, since he cost himself many millions of dollars with his terrible pre-draft problems.

    Analysis: Polite was an absolute monster for Florida this past season, posting 11 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss, plus six forced fumbles. Adding him to a defensive front that now has Leonard Williams, Quinnen Williams, Henry Anderson and Co. could make for a fearsome pass rush.

    Then why didn't they trade up for him? I heard they were really trying to do that.

    The combine is dumb so maybe we got a steal. But as you said, we need OL help badly.
