Hate the pick. Another poor route running WR. Makes me like the Sauce pick a little more, but I think we blew this draft with 2 top 10 picks.
I love Wilson as a receiver in general, but I REALLY love his specific elite ability to adjust to the ball if it's not perfect when paired with Zach. I think he's the type of receiver that can REALLY help out with Zach's development.
Bad pick. When the Seahawks took Cross at 9, I was sure Douglas would grab DE J. Johnson at 10 (ACC defensive player of the year) . He should have. Another small receiver...yippee.
Yes everything being the same JJ was the better pick. Elijah Moore will be better than Wilson, but neither I would classify as a true #1 WR
Another great pick. Much happier with this, than selling the farm for Deebo. This franchise is finally getting it right. Build with a solid core of young talented players instead of trying to excite the fan base with a big splash.
Polled 5 teams on Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson, including 3 GMs, 1 HC and a director of scouting: All five believe the elusive Wilson - an All-State 6A hooper in Texas as well - has superstar ability as a game-breaking talent, elite YAC machine and gifted 50/50 ball winner. ⭕️— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) April 25, 2022 .@OhioStateFB WR Garrett Wilson just finished his visit with the #Commanders, per source.Wilson, according to one GM I spoke with, is “one of the best receivers I’ve evaluated over the past five years. Speed, route-running, hands, can break the game open at any time.” ⭕️— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) April 18, 2022
I'm confused by the bold... Garrett Wilson such a smooth route runner. Him, Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, C.J. Uzomah along with Michael Carter gives some nice weapons for Zach Wilson Probably more of a WR3/4 in fantasy with upside— Michael F. Florio (@MichaelFFlorio) April 29, 2022 #Jets are drafting Garrett Wilson. So slick and smooth with his route running. Does this mean that Deebo Samuel is staying put in San Francisco? For now, at least #FTTB— Chase Senior (@Chase_Senior) April 29, 2022 Garrett Wilson was my #1 WR in this class, I just felt there was better value at the Reciever Position via trade back on in round 10. I do love the way Wilson plays very physical, nice intermediate route runner and high points the ball really well.— Leger Douzable (@LegerDouzable) April 29, 2022 I really had issues falling in love with Garrett Wilson's tape. A good route runner with caveats, he has fluidity, short-area quicks & he reminds me a little of Antonio Brown. But he’ll need to eliminate some unfortunate drops from his game, and improve his physicality.— Simon Clancy (@SiClancy) April 29, 2022 Garrett Wilson's route-running is cold 🥶 pic.twitter.com/crxGSRP4m3— PFF Fantasy Football (@PFF_Fantasy) February 18, 2022
You literally don't know what you are talking about.. He's probably the best route runner In this draft. Also.. He's not small. He's 6' tall and jumps higher than a Treylon Burks, with a massive catch radius because of his great hands and ability to adjust to the ball. Go watch some film or something... This was a very poor take from you.
Wilson is an amazing route runner. He uses leverage and turns a DB's hips in the wrong direction like very few WRs in NCAA football manage to do.
