Kid looks explosive off the line, would be interesting to see him rush from the edge ...seems to fight through blocks and shows a relentless pursuit to the QB.
I'm intrigued .

 

Remember a small defensive end the Jets had who ran a 4.6 40yard dash? Mark Gastineau.

The more I read about this pick, his size, speed, initial burst and versatility, I’m liking it a lot more.

My initial reaction to JZ pick is not liking it at all but the Joe D trend seems to high scores on athleticism for both the Cali Safety and now this guy...maybe that's some magical formula for success?? Dunno..

In the the meantime I am giving "like" to every post that is hopeful and positive about our pick because it challenges my skepticism....ahahaha

 

I am not going to get upset with Joe and he s know a lot more than all of us put together. We had to know that he is following the Ravens model in trading back and loading up mid round picks. No surprises there. Yes I questioned the Safety and Zuniga pick only because I was focusing on another WR because we have been so wrapped up with those first 15-20 WRs to take.

Digest it a little and let it go. Maybe Joe know something. We have good news and A lot of good can happy today which doesn’t happen too much in the Jets’ 3rd day of draft. I am looking forward to it today!

 

He may be confused with Joe Klecko who was said to be too small.

I’m sure Jamal probably gave JD his criteria for any players drafted on defense, dancing is a must.

 

Sarcasm my friend, guys that big that are that fast and versatile are worth taking a chance on, especially with the type of defense Greg Williams uses.

Mark was productive from both sides of the LOS and in both types of defenses.

 

You do realize my point was referenced over the past 5 years right? You do know that many of the names you mentioned go beyond that 5 year point. But we can keep going when compared to Florida LOL it keeps getting worse with UF

And Wtf are you talking about me being butt hurt about UF? I almost went there. I had a full scholarship to go to both FSU or UF. I chose FSU. My cousin is currently studying at UF and I have about 8 friends that graduated from UF. I think UF is a fantastic school.

They still produce a massive amount of busts

 

Much like Ashtyn Davis, I look at this and what I see is clay that Greg Williams can potentially work and form into something that helps the Jets.

I can clearly imagine both these guys turning into useful players. But then again I thought Polite might really work out last year so who knows.

I am happy that at last we went after an edge rusher.
Reading some of the analysis can be concerning that he may have been a little of a reach.

One thing I do know is any college that gets a significant number of kids drafted, has a decent number of those kids not pan out. I swear it’s like some people have no idea that the majority of draft picks last 2-3 years and have no real impact in the league.

 

I really hope this guy proves that Florida Gators point wrong. Not just because he's on the Jets, but he really does have a lot of talent.

I was just watching a bunch of videos on him and reading our draft grades on multiple sites. It seems this guy might have been a steal where we got him. He seemed to have been HIGHLY rated in most draft rooms and he has amazing stats to back it up.

I really hope we found our pass rusher
