    Pre-Draft Analysis
Zuniga is well-built with outstanding initial burst and top-end speed. He has a lot of snap in his hands and consistently stands up offensive linemen on contact. He's twitchy and powerful, but he lacks some lower-body flexibility, which leads to him failing to finish as a pass-rusher at times. He's a rangy run defender who shows the ability to disengage and pursue. He leaves it all on the field. -- Steve Muench

Fellow Gators fan here. I think Zuniga can be a big time pass rusher. He'll be an OLB in the base 3-4. I'm happy with the pick.

    Not every Gator is Polite.

    Fowler Jr.
    Joe Haden.
    Pouncey Brothers.
    Jarrad Davis.
    Keanu Davis.
    Jordan Reed.
    Carlos Dunlap.
    (Emmitt Smith).

    From an FSU fan.

lol he's just as much Polite as Darnold is Matt Leinart (see how stupid you sound).

NFL Draft Report: Teams Intrigued By Gators DE Jabari Zuniga's Versatility
    [IMG]

    Apr 22, 2020

As Florida Gators defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga ascends to the next level, questions have arisen regarding his positional fit.

According to a report from Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline, NFL teams are split on exactly where they would play Zuniga within a defensive scheme. Pauline notes that Zuniga will be selected on day two of the draft, from what he is hearing.

How does Florida’s Jabari Zuniga fit in at the next level?

Florida’s Jabari Zuniga will be a second-day selection Friday, but where does he fall on the second day and what position does he play in the NFL? Most teams grade Zuniga as a third-round edge rusher, while I presently have him listed as a second-round defensive end.

While most feel Zuniga will ultimately end up as a 4-3 defensive end, there are several 3-4 defensive teams who like his ability to rush the edge. Teams most interested in Zuniga include the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets, who own two selections at the top of Round 3.

Zuniga played inside and out at Florida, but never served as a standing edge rusher in the way that some teams appear to view his best fit. The Detroit Lions, for example, would utilize Zuniga primarily as a standing rusher in their scheme, however, he would certainly move around the formation and play with his hand in the dirt at times.

At the 2020 Senior Bowl, Zuniga told AllGators that he was looking to prove his versatility to teams after an injury-plagued redshirt senior season in 2019.

"I feel like I'm a versatile player, I want to show that I can rush from the 3-technique, I can rush and play the run from a 4i, a 5, a 9, you know, wherever," said Zuniga. "I think it's very important [to be versatile] because in the NFL you have teams that are 4-3, 3-4, you have teams that are bringing different packages, so just to have that on film I do feel is super important."

It will be interesting to see which team selects Zuniga and where he is utilized. As he noted, Zuniga spent time playing across the interior defensive line at Florida, but he doesn't have the size to lineup inside on a full-time basis in the NFL. Though, Zuniga impressed at the NFL Combine by turning in a 4.64-second 40 yard dash, 127-inch broad jump, and other notable results at 6-3, 264 lbs.

The NFL Draft is set to kick off tomorrow, April 23rd, at 8 P.M.

    USC QBs have stunk too.

I guess Darnold is going to suck because of it.

PS: Florida kids would make kids from NY cry in football lol

I can name lots of Baylor busts too. Does that mean Denzel Mims is now another Baylor bust?

Lots of our FSU kids in Leon Washington, Dalvin Cook and hundreds of others have been hurt too and Peter Warrick was straight up bust status and can name so many of our FSU busts especially @ QB lol.

To attack a player and label him due to players who came before him makes for the worst football talk ever. I hate it.

  16. Throw in Jersey & CT for somewhat equal land mass..FL wins but the tri state holds their own..the talent has come a long way in last 10 yrs.

NJ has always been a hot bed,NY has some good positional groups as does CT.

    just making convo:)

    https://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/04/florida-gators-nfl-draft-busts-schools

I've already made this argument previously but for the sake of this thread. Here is a list of players drafted from Florida since 2015. Florida produces busts year after year:

    Jawaan Taylor
    Jachai Polite
    Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
    Vosean Joseph
    Jordan Scarlett
    Taven Bryan
    Duke Dawson
    Antonio Callaway
    Johnny Townsend
    Marcell Harris
    Jarrad Davis
    Marcus Maye
    Quincy Wilson
    Teez Tabor
    Alex Anzalone
    David Sharpe
    Caleb Brantley
    Joey Ivie
    Vernon Hargreaves
    Keanu Neal
    Jonathan Bullard
    Antonio Morrison
    Demarcus Robinson
    Kelvin Taylor
    Alex McCalister
    Dante Fowler
    D.J. Humphries
    Chaz Green
    Matt Jones
    Max Garcia
    Neiron Ball
    Andre Debose
    Trent Brown

    That's an ugly fuckin list

And I can name as many FSU busts too.

It doesn't matter which school FSU/Miami/Gators they are still Florida kids and Florida kids are the greatest @ Football.

If we only had 1 Florida school instead of 3 (not including USF/UCF) but just one state of Florida powerhouse program? Our kids would bust Alabama ass every single freaking year we've just got too much in state recruiting competition.

PS: Jerry Jeudy is an Alabama and bowl game MVP but he's got Florida DNA born and raised Florida kid (who turned down the Gators/FSU/Miami).

I can create a list of Bama busts too lol remember our WR bust ArDarius Stewart? Bama.

    Underwhelmed with Zuniga pick.

Ok I was on board with the safety, but this feels like a Macagnan draft in round 3...
