There are scenarios where the loser would be eliminated from the playoff picture.

This thread obviously made very prematurely.

Future, I think you have premature thread making.

This thread was made to motivate the Jets now (hopefully)...because they sure are stinking up the field right now. Period.

During the season, the pundits usually have a ' Contender or Pretender' discussion. The Jets are clearly pretenders. Like their stadium brethren, they usually don't show up for the important games. Holmes put his stamp on this team with his terrible mistakes and a-hole celebration. Sanchez is just Sanchez - a second tier QB who can start on a 2nd tier team but never a SB contender. Rex should go back to being a DC and leave head coaching to someone better organized.

After the way the Jets absolutely shit the bed against the Eagles, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they lose out. They are at best, an average team.

i wouldn't disagree on the sanchez part of your thread, but the part about rex is crazy! rex has single handedly brought this team a wining attitude and thats not even debateable. they are not superbowl contenders, but they are a team to be reconned with.

just took too much of a step back this year. oline, sanchez, defense, just too many holes and they traded away too many draft picks. time for a quick rebuild and back in the hunt next year.

Sanchez is gonna get killed, whoever is lined up over Wayne Hunter is causing serious problems.

What you all fucking don't get is we are playing two completely different offenses.

    EAGLES:

They are agile and fast, they run outside the tackles, the QB is very mobile and have explosive receivers.

    GIANTS:

Downhill runners, both power back, QB isn't very mobile, they have explosive receivers.

    Two different teams,

This team doesn't take advantage of their opponent's weakness though so I don't see that happening.

Giants just like the Eagles are a mediocre team but they both have a pass rush something we cant seem to handle...

Good thing we will not have to face a speed team like the Eagles in the next two games. I am worried about the Giants pass rush, but I think we can force Eli to make poor decisions and stuff their downhill running game. I still have faith because NFL is week to week. Biggest example is we crush the Chiefs, but the Chiefs beat the Packers. We crush the Redskins, they come out and play the Pats to the last possession and crush the Giants.

I don't think we play this poorly again, at least not on defense and for santonio. Wayne Hunter and Eric Smith will probably still play terrible

other than the pass rush who else to fear? Assuming Sanchez has time in the pocket, the Jets can easily win this game. This is a Keller up the middle, Holmes burning Ross for TDs type of game.

This will be a must win and I see the Jets winning it.
